Destroying Server Economies

I like to believe that Square Enix has destroyed individual server economies now. i'm an omnicrafter on Diabolos, and no one is going to buy things for the prices crafters have set here because you can get it cheaper on Balmung. It's a HUGE slap to the face. This is the ONLY thing I'm upset about with the update, otherwise the world visiting system is great.

With the possibility to swap server if an instance is not accessible because full (to avoid the rauban gate again later).

That isn't called "destroying economies" it's called bringing them into parity.

You see, before, some servers had absolutely ridiculous prices on things. Now this will force those people who charge ridiculous amounts to lower their prices to compete.

And really, that's the thing. They're bringing competition to the economies, which is actually very healthy for the economies, not destructive.

new opportunities and markets will arise, there is more supplies, but there is more demand as well. And everyone wont actually bother using world visit, so there will be some traders

Yeah sure lets continue to pay 2 million for piece of high end gear on some servers where others are 400k. Let be sure to maintain that sillyness.

I mean let's be fair here, how much of the population is /actually/ going to actively server hop to find the best prices? People can barely be bothered to buy items from NPC vendors and would prefer the convenience of the marketboard closest to them, even if it comes with a near 5-10x mark up. While yes some people will be world hopping, I doubt it's going to kill any server economy. People are just too lazy for that.
