Why its hard to play ff14

Play with freinds. Dungeons ,Rank A and S hunts, Raids, even general chicanery are waaaay more fun with freinds. Heck even chit chatting while you semi afk crafter level is fun. You're missing the biggest point of any mmo by focusing on the little things to nitpick at.

If you think the fighting is slow in XIV then please don't go and play XI that's 15 years old and unless you play a caster there it's all auto attacks until you have enough TP to do a weapon skill. I mean yes there are actions you can do before you can use a weapon skill, but it really just boils down to slowly whacking at a thing over there.

ARR's story does have pacing issues and the devs are aware of them and more recently have been talking about fixing it. It's just right now that's kind of low on the order of things as I'm sure everyone else would like them to test the crap out of any early story instances that are in Shadowbringers and that they actually balance and change the jobs to where a lot of players are happy and not wondering if the devs were too sleep deprived when they came up with those changes. That and they are also probably checking on their end the world visit system so that runs somewhat smoothly once they flip the switch for us players.

Well ive been playing mmos for years and have noticed a decline in popularity for tab targeting bc action combat feels better and is in every way better(its a fact,you can have an opinion saying you like the combat but when people hear an mmo has action combat they jump on it fast af), all im saying about the combat is that if they dont fix the things like gravity and the fact that it feels stiff this game isnt going to continue for much longer

I do play with friends and thats the only time I really play bc I got lvl gated from progression which is a fun concept in every mmo

If you say look at 11's combat and compare it then how about you look at 15's combat, the game is known as a critical masterpiece even with its flaws, they just did them right

Also im hearing a lot people saying that this is my opinion when not really, m opinion for the game is that its good but I just want the devs to make it amazing bc its easily possible

1. Changing the complete combat system is not easy at all and it is most certainly not a thing that you could do in a month.
2. There are people that prefer action based combat systems and there are people that prefer tab based combat systems. SE will not take the risk to spook all these players away just to satisfy a few others. Both systems have a lot of pro's and con's.

If you take such umbrage with the game, then delete your character, remove your account and play something single player where the focus is purely a single aspect to your liking.

You're fighting against every single post and I see no benefit to you to keep playing. One poof of an account will not stop the hundreds of thousands from coming back in droves come 5.0, nor affect the current player base who don't have the same grievances as you. You're still in the meh part of the game without seeing how much it's grown from the OST, to the lore and to mechanics.

well yea im a low level but ive seen gameplay from multiple streamers/youtubers and from friends who all do new released content on the daily and they said the story gets kinda better but the combat stays the same, the devs may have brought it back from dying but im sorry the game is gonna officially die if they dont fix the fixable things now before its too late, also they arent trying that hard bc they just released the regalia instead of fixing issues

i agree. archage (p2w) but had really fast fluid and probably the best example of of tab target can be fun. Even at max level it feels like you are dancing or fighting the air then actually fighting an opponent. and then they take forever to die as you mspam the same rotation again and again. The boss fights are amazing but after you learn the pattern then you just go on repeat mode. Thankfully they said they are reworking the combat so hopefully combat speeds up, gets condensed, and feels more fluid. A good mixture of gw2 and archage combat. That is why eureka is boring because you mostly fight and ff14 doesnt shine in the combat department.

80% of the population (especially in japan) plays alone. The casuals are usually calm accepting less serious and more welcoming than the hardcores who act like their life and livelihood is on the line. Most of the community doesnt want to play a game where they HAVE to play with their friends. When people do that then they are bored and do not like the game or just followers doing whatever their friends are doing. Playing with friends is fun but if thats the only enjoyment/way you can play the game you may wanna try something more personal to your tastes

MMOs isnt about playing with people its about the ongoing world that keeps building and growing allowing the player to play the way they want too. The op has some valid complaints yet you guys are shunning her. yet we have complaints about blu mage all over the place that is not warrant but the playbase deems it acceptable.

My big point is ive seen mmos grow and ive seen others die and you have to understand that yes since the new xpac is coming out but people will just get bored after theyre done after that (again) my max lvl buddies said they finished everything and are waiting for new content so they spend all their time on helping guildies lvl and thats good but bad for the game bc it shows that after a point youre just done (class advancement wise, not counting crafting and stuff)

Most of the counter arguments im seeing are one like (dont play if you dont like it) if you said that just reread the part where I said I like the game but I want the flaws to be addressed, you can sit behind your pc or console and deny it but in reality 14 has really good systems but if they changed certain things the game wouldnt have low viewer rates on twitch and youtube, with low viewer rates that means that the game isnt that much fun to watch and therefore not that much fun to play, there are points where the game is fun like housing/guilds, the big bosses that are close to raids for early lvls and the casino (i forgot what its called)

i understand that its a video game and people can play it however they want but its different when its an mmo, mmos rely on their community and those communities wouldnt be a thing if people didnt have friends to play with, the main reason I got back into the game after trying it around launch is bc my buddy said it was fun and good and I come back and I still see some problems that existed since then
