Sunday Swap Meet - Hosted By Abaddon

What: Every Sunday, Abaddon holds a 'Swap Meet', melding gear, crafting, trading mats, trading materia, etc. The goal is to get gear made for spiritbonding, get gear melded, and the sorts of things that we often need help from a fellow crafter to accomplish. It's one of our regular events that I personally look forward to more than anything else. After the server merger, we'd like to extend this event towards the general population on Balmung.


When: Every Sunday starting April 1st to start around noon MST (2:00pm EST). The event has historically lasted about 2 to 3 hours.


Where: In front of the adventurers guild in Uldah, next to the fountain.


How: Bring any mats, materia, catalysts, gear, etc you'll need. Gear will not be made if mats are missing, no exceptions.

how are you able to make sure that people are not making gear if all the mats are not supplied.
What if one of your crafters gives a cobalt rivet that was not supplied to finish the craft, will he/she be punished.

I suppose it's at the crafters' discretion. I don't have any crafts levelled very far but personally, I would refuse to make stuff for someone if they were missing mats. I'm not gonna spend my money on somebody else for the hell of it. I would expect that a crafter would refuse to make my gear if I were missing an item as well. Basically, I'm setting a bar with that statement.

this thread is about making gear for free to the public with supplied mats, that is freeloading. These services are usually reserved for LS members.

They are usually reserved for LS members. This event has been Abaddon only prior to the server merge. I'm extending the event to the rest of the server. If you want to participate, follow the rules. the rules are as follows:

1. If you want something made, bring the ingredients.
2. Bulk orders are acceptable
3. Wait your turn. A lot of people will need a lot of things made. Be patient.


The rules (lol) are in place to prevent disagreements, arguments, etc.

The event will be a good chance to meet and greet folks you might not otherwise run into, and to promote teamwork across linkshells and the server as a whole.
