My FC learned about an exploit regarding Castrum and Praetorlum's unskippable cutscenes. Only that the exploit allows people to skip the scene.

Step 1: Let the cutscene play.

Step 2: Immediately log out during the cutscene.

Step 3: Log back in.


Following these steps allows players to skip unskippable cutscenes. Players are able to start boss battles while everyone else is still trapped in the cutscenes with this workaround. It doesn't matter what console or PC is used, it works for all platforms. Recommend setting a "Disconnect 3 times - you're kicked with penalty" rule on next patch update to stop players from abusing this. This exploit won't stay silent among the communitym in fact it's already being spread around - according to many people I've talked too. I only learned of this trick today.

I agree with kicked from instance. But not with Penalty. As some people just have bad connections... or DDOS attacks happening.

There is no simple solution to a bad solution to a bad design choice, the devs already know this.

Yes there is. There's a perfectly viable solution, just run the cutscenes when the bonus tomes are detected. New people = bonus tomes= cutscenes. It's so simple someone might actually take my advice....

The problem with this is the new player then getting kicked to greatly speed up the run.

I've only learned about the skip bug since around Christmas. Unfortunately they're really isn't a way to stop the trollercoaster completely. And since they vote kicked you, at least 3 people in there are at fault.
I would just screen shot the party list at the beginning and report all of them if it keeps happening.
