Yet ANOTHER disconnect today at 2:02pm East Coast US time from Air Force One. It'd be amazing if a reply was given by staff more than once a week plus on average, since I want to know why I've missed out on nearly 100k MGP at this point.

Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Are you connected directly to the router or are you using WIFI? Were any changes to the network made at all? Another thing you could try is port forwarding. Please do so by:

    -Open the following ports:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

    Hope to see you online!

I have no clue what ports you're talking about, I don't really know anything about computers. And I'm hard wired into my router.

Oh hey look, it happened again to me at 6:08 East Coast US time with another 90002 error. Was really hoping that 4.55 might have had some kind of fix for this, but it looks like it's gone under the radar.

    Thank you for the reply.

The ports I am referring too, are located on the router. You would need to make sure the ports provided have been opened. As this process is different for every router, you would need to find the instructions for your particular router. Your ISP can also assist in this process.

Ok, gonna be blunt here. Me and MANY OTHER PLAYERS are having this issue, more than likely different internet providers. The way's you've been suggesting to go the super round-about way of fixing this issue, are starting to get....aggravating. This honestly just feels like 'oh it's not our issue, it your (the buyer's) fault that you can't play our game'.

This is the ONLY thing in game that causes me to 90002 now. Only other times I disconnect is when the weather here is bad. I'm paying to play the game and for the service, and it feels like I'm not getting proper help for an issue I'm having.

Shouldn't Leap of Faith and Air Force One be rather similar since they're both special instances, or is the fact that Air Force One is such a special solo only instance it has its own instabilities?

At this point I'm wanting actual answers about this, and instead I'm just getting work-arounds when I'm clearly not the only person in game getting this issue.

Going to go ahead and point out this has been happening to me as well. Only ever seem to DC during Air Force One as of late, which is of course a 9k2. I live in a different country and time zone not to mention we likely have different computer builds from probably all the posters here (one of which I can say as a fact) yet when we DC from the gate it happens at the exact same time as one another. How can that be possible if its our providers? This clearly seems to be something wrong with the game itself dropping somewhere during this event, not with an internet provider. Just my thoughts on the matter but it really does make the gate a real hit or miss when it comes down to "Will I DC this time or not."

    Thank you for the reply.

I apologize that there isn't a clear solution to this issue, however, we have limited control over how you connect to the server. The suggestions we provide are to make sure that there is nothing interfering within your home network (your PC and router) as these are the things you have direct control over. If none of these resolve the issue, it stands to reason that there is nothing within your home network that solely causes the error.

As for the game or server being the sole issue, I don't believe this to be the case. This would result in significantly more people being affected by the error than we are currently seeing.

If it is not the home network or the server, then the issue lies somewhere between you and the server. This is a rather broad area and can be caused by a number of things (congestion, routing issues, etc). Since we have no way to monitor or facilitate this kind of issue, we are left with suggesting that you contact your ISP.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Fine then. It's 'my side's fault'. Then how about explaining what's so different with Air Force One? Why is it handled differently than Leap of Faith? They're the only gates that have a special instance. Why is it only Air Force seems to crash when Leap can have dozens of players in it at a time with NO ISSUE AT ALL?

Not getting any explanation on this is adding to the frustration. Why is something with a flexible time limit stable, but something that has a fixed time limit unstable?

And just so you know, there's a LOT of people who don't do ANY minigames in the Gold Saucer at all, so there could be a lot more people that this affects, but they don't care enough to try out the game.

It'd be nice if you guys had something that let people save their game data logs or whatever for any time they disconnect so you could actually get more information beside the mess this has become.

Still having regular disconnects on Air Force One, both wireless and wired connections to my ISP. And furthermore I have also had the opportunity to connect to a different ISP and modem and still got the old 90002 disconnect.
Please have the team look into this on your sever end.
