    Spice up gathering (Hidden Nodes)

    I had an idea, thought I'd share.

    How bout spicing up gathering abit with something like hidden nodes.
    They're only unlocked after gathering in an area for an amount of time.
    This could be dependent on perception.

    Let's say you're gathering in an area and every 10 nodes one of these unlocks with a message saying "You start getting a feel for the area, you sense an untapped resource nearby."

    After this it you have the option of tracking down this hidden node.
    Can attach some sort of neat mini-game to finding it.
    When found, it could hold rare items only found gathering through this means, or an abundance of rare items that can already be gathered in this area. (even waive the 1per swipe limit that's held on certain current gatherable items)

    I know it's kinda late in the game for ideas like this haha, but I thought it was neat.
    Also, thanks for all the hard work devs. The game is really shaping up

    I for one would like this; it'd give just a little boost of hope for when you're out there gathering endlessly! Hopefully they could do it for Fishers as well. ^^ Great idea!

    IIRC the dev team is working on making rare gathering nodes that move around (maybe through multiple zones? It was an old post so I don't remember all the details) and maybe that might be right up your alley. In 2.0 gatherers are also supposed to be able to find treasure chests and treasure maps (some of which lead to dungeons... I'm pretty excited at the sound of that)

    lol at the spice girls.. But yes, the Dev team is working on something to this effect, but I believe they said it was going to be Post 2.0 because they would have to completely redo it after the knew Zones are finished or something to that effect.

    That is an an absolutely awesome idea. However, as a fisher I do not believe a water hole could surface out of nowhere... maybe it could be more of an off-hand gather?

    hey great idea! i always wish that there was some kind of 'stackable' gathering system, like the more you harvest/gather in a zone (plus your level, stats etc), the more your chances of finding a super rare item are, or you just start getting only the higher rank items, something liek that.

    Water holes couldn't surface out of nowhere, but schools of fish could. You could discover a large number of fish that are hiding under a rock or something. :P

    While we won't be implementing what you suggested exactly ESAR, for 2.0 we are looking into adding certain conditions that when met, will spawn a gathering point. ^_^
