Trains

Trains, what a wonderful invention they are. A mode of transportation few have seen or experienced. Some are big, some are small(The Little Engine That Could), though that doesn't stop them from going over water, hills, and through rock, night, and day. They have the convenience of a bus but a luxury of a plane. With some trains at max speed around 500 mph, you can see the world fly right by you, instead of you flying by the world. To those whom haven't experienced such a wonder, shouldn't it be time?

Now to the nitty gritty
I want trains, I want a train ride that lasts an hour(round trip).
I want first class middle class and lower class(depending on your level and how much gil you want to spend and rank)
I want to see the train from the outside(not an underground train)
I want bandits to highjack the train(where the high class, middle class, lower class, comes in)The higher class you are the harder the mobs(may or may not invade)
In the train I would like to order drinks and food.
I want it where if I stand on the tracks when the train comes by, I wanna die.
I would like to see people on the outside and people looking in on the inside. I want to see bandits riding on chocobos and people on the outside could attack them if they want. (meaning its not an instanced deal)
I would also like the train to take me to Hogwarts.
Sooo, <Can I have it?>< Do you want it?> thoughts and ideas.

^^^Honestly, i looked for an example of trains in RPGs other than the phantom train and i could not find much, so i settled on the awesomeness that is Mother 2. I support this idea, but i think they really should be TRAINS. Aside from any story use, this is a vehicle you get on and ride for 15 minutes or something like that because you got on it to ride it. hang out, take a look at the passing scenery, do other stuff that's on the train. you can sit on things in this game, it would be pretty cool to sit on train seats.

If the city is large enough, then trains like from Final Fantasy VII Midgar city will be cool.

you can get off and explore the train tracks in tunnels etc, and explore the train grave yard.

I thought Mother 2 had busses and not trains? Mother 3 had trains.

I like the idea. The train itself could be a machina infused Garlean machine in a steam-punk kind of style to fit the setting of FFXIV.

You could even turn it into a dungeon sort of thing, with optional chests in carriages with mobs guarding them, or rewards for a fast time clear.

The trains could stop because of bandits ect ect ect.

Even just used in a traditional sense as an optional method of transportation would be nice. I always enjoyed the train's in the previous final fantasies. But the fact that we get spoiled with airships first kind of spoil the implementation. Should of done it the other way around for me personally.
