No there isn't. There's just Pagl'than, O'Ghomorro, and The Farreach left. Eorzea = Aldenard + Vylbrand. The planet is called Hydaelyn.

Sir if you want to be technical about then hydaaelyn has plenty left to explore. Southern Continent of mercydia among them. Among other allag ruins if you must. Like i said plenty left to go on rather than march onwards to garlemald.

Yeah. How long exactly has the Empire been trying to take Ala Mhigo? Well before they finally did.

The Eorzean city states aren't perfect, and the empire isn't 100% evil. But the Eorzeans also haven't say, tried to drop a moon on the empire. And when someone DID try to use a primal against them (Shinryu) it was us that cleaned it up. There are good people in the empire but they're definitely still the 'bad guys' in terms of international politics.

Through the whole thing, I was getting a definite "something isn't right about this" vibe. The Scions' plans reek of hubris, and honestly that's been a vibe I've been getting through the entire post-SB patch cycle. Letting the tempered Ananta into the council, Hien's complete failure to see Asahi's obvious duplicity (or confidence that he can deal with it)...our allies are making some pretty big mistakes and we're going along with it because we're still in the "follower" mindset. Now we get to this patch and..

Attempting to spark a civil war in the enemy's lands? That's exactly what the Garleans did to Ala Mhigo. "Get the rebels to overthrow the government, then march in and conquer in the chaos" is a tactic empires have used throughout the centuries because it's very effective, if morally bankrupt. The alliance is starting to act like an empire here.

Also, aether manipulation on the scale of the shield over The Burn is something rife with danger that they don't even seem to be aware of. Even Allag screwed it up as much as they succeeded, sometimes on a disastrous scale. I wanted to scream that at them.

As for the true villains:

I got more of a "This again?" vibe from them. Like two tanks in DPS stance, they were silently arguing over whose turn it is. Disposing of a duplicate corpse of the revered first emperor can't be easy.

So based on 4.4 stinger the villain of 5.0 is most likely

@Kallera: Yes. But Varis has only recently risen to power and we don't know how firm his hold on the throne is at the moment. Now if, through careful use of rumour, his opponents came to believe that Zenos is a puppet used by evil forces. Evil forces that summon Eikons, even! Who is to say Varis himself is not a puppet either? Maybe, just maybe, one of his opponents will see this as a reason to take another shot at obtaining power.

That is what this whole plan is based on. On the downside, if someone else does succeed in taking power we don't know whether they will be better or worse than Varis. And of course, the Alliance assumes that Ascians are manipulating things and not that they had a hand in founding the bloody country. (That was truly an "oh dear, this complicates things" moment for me).
