    Regarding Congestion in Companion App (Aug. 14, 15)

    We have confirmed that some players are currently experiencing problems as a result of congestion with the FINAL FANTASY XIV Companion app which was released on Aug. 14, 2018 for NA / Aug. 15, 2018 for EU. This is due to the current high volume of requests to access the app.

    The FINAL FANTASY XIV Companion app is still experiencing delays due to the continuing high volume of requests for access.

    We would like to share an update regarding the FINAL FANTASY XIV Companion app access congestion situation.

    We would like to share an update regarding the FINAL FANTASY XIV Companion app access congestion situation.

    After implementing a temporary fix on servers that were experiencing extremely high load and observing awhile, we began to see a definite improvement to the situation. We will continue to investigate and address the issue for a more fundamental fix. In the meantime, if you are experiencing delays due to congestion, we ask that you please wait a while and try again.

    Regarding Congestion in Companion App (Aug. 14, 15): Follow-up 4

    We would like to share an update regarding the FINAL FANTASY XIV Companion app access congestion situation.

    Yesterday, we have implemented a temporary fix and have been concurrently monitoring the situation. We have confirmed that the server error (Error Code: -1002) which occurred upon release have decreased since yesterday.

    Unfortunately, due to the impact of high loads, the anticipated performance have not been fully recovered, and under certain conditions during the communication processing request, we have detected a cause in delay. We will continue to monitor the cause for counter-measures.

    We kindly ask for additional time while we continue to do our best to improve the situation.

    Recovery from Congestion in Companion App (Aug. 21, 22)

    We would like to share an update regarding the FINAL FANTASY XIV Companion app access congestion situation.

    Currently, congestion has abated for all time periods except during peak hours. Additionally, after implementing a fundamental fix on Aug. 20 (JST) and observing for two days, we have confirmed that performance remains stable even when congestion occurs during peak usage.
