Server Mergers (Designate an RP server a la Besaid)

Would like to get my opp out of the way: not entirely sure why people are complaining. You will NOT lose friends. Simply tell the people you play with what server you plan on going to, and see if they follow you over. Simple. Friendships will be tested. Linkshells will be destroyed and formed again. Fun! More recruiting etc.

On a side note, can we designate which server will be RP / non-RP. I planned on leaving Besaid for some time now. o.O Not from a distaste for RP, but rather due to the fact that I just don't take partake in it.

If 10 is FR/EU, I'd suggest WORLD 9 for RP.

You should decide the world number based on the last digit of the number of "Likes" your post receives by 1 a.m. on the 19th. That way it's more exciting, like American Idol.

People use the term "friend" way too lightly. If they refuse to go with you, for whatever reason that may be, I'd say "associate" is more fitting.

I don't think it is that simple...
I can't assume that I am the ONLY friend the person has... They could also have a special someone who is adamant going to some other server where I am going. Now you could say "but then you should go to the other server too" - but then what about my other friends that are all going to some other server?

Might be of some use to you, Kira? I made a thread over on the Role-Play Coalition forums to discuss the issue (not to mention, we can use polls over there).

Certainly it'd be nice if everyone could tell any roleplayers they know about the link I've posted here, and indeed this thread.

Sorry, I hope this doesn't seem like a de-rail. Whatever happens I'll be watching every thread I can find on the issue to see what seems the primary choice. I'll link back to this thread in the above-linked forum as well.
