On another note, Its interesting they are letting EVERYONE choose the new server they want to go to, and how they are doing it in general

1 Mar is going to be a very busy day. Linkshells that want to stay together are going to be up bright and early selecting their world. Looks like they tried for a fair procedure for settling duplicate names. Have no complaints there. Wonder how many French and Germans are actually going to select World 10?

this is dumb cause some of players playing other games or taking a break from 2.0 will be affected by this. So that means they have to start a new char or pay for one month in order to stick to their old LS????? that's BS

To select a destination, an existing playable character must be associated with a player’s service account. As long as a player has at least one usable character, a destination World may be chosen for all characters in the service account, including characters that have not yet been paid for.

I don't mind that things are going to be deleted(it's more just annoying) but what I don't like about this is that if you don't have an active account your going to be unable to select your final destination when you come back. As it stands now a large portion of my LS which all traveled from XI to XIV together have decided to hold out playing until 2.0. However now when they decide to come back they are going to have either remake there character(assuming the world isn't full) or be lucky enough to have randomly been thrown on the correct world.

I'm still disappointed that not everyone gets an option to change their character names, even if they are the only ones with the name at the time.
