Unable to enter game

Hello, this morning the game worked correctly, then I logged out. When it went to the main screen, which runs the cinematic, I received an error message: "An unexpected error has occurred. Exiting Final Fantasy XIV.(16a)"

I have been unable to play the game since then. The game starts, I can enter my login information, and hit play. It opens into the larger window, starts loading the warning, then I get the same error message. Occasionally the message is in japanese, however it has the same 16a tag.

I have re-installed and made sure the game was up-to-date, with the same result.

It first occurred when I logged out at approximately 11:30 am EST. There were updates run on my computer overnight, however they did not stop me from logging in around 9am this morning. In fact I had no signs of any sort of problem until I logged out.

I did not delete the folder.

Yes, when I turn off DirectX 11 it does the same thing.

I have also attempted to reset the settings to default, with the same result.

I deleted the folder, and it seems to have fixed the problem. Thank you.
