    Regarding Crafting Changes in 2.0

    Greetings! We wanted to pass along some information regarding the time gauge that appears when selecting crafting commands.

    We are planning to remove the crafting time gauge around 2.0 timing. Currently the idea is that the time gauge maintains progression through crafting as you select crafting commands, but since the time gauge will be eliminated, it’ll be possible to halt crafting between commands.

    Also, in regards to feeling like there’s not much meaning behind commands and the time gauge, in 2.0 we will be changing the current four command system into a two command system and each will have more weight behind them.

    We will announce more specifics on the crafting system in 2.0 in the future.

    Ummm... why 2? I'm guessing it's "Take action" and "Wait" in this case? So how are people going to do HQ synths then? I can understand taking out Rapid, it's crap, nobody uses it, and the few times that someone DOES uses it it fails or does less than standard unless you're severely overleveled, in which case you might as well hasty hand it. Careful is still used because its success rate is reasonable with its rewards, so unless you're planning on greatly increasing the quality increases in Standard when used in conjunction with abilities, I really don't see how this would work.

    Intriguing. I wonder what the two actions will be? Do away with something like Standard Synthesis entirely and only allow a focus on progression or quality perhaps? I could see taking out Wait, since it's extremely boring and provides little depth for the frustration and delay it causes.

    Standart and Careful i would say. Since Rapid and Wait are pretty useless.

    You are wrong my good sir while making high level gear on my ARM there is time that i have to press "Wait" if i don't they be no way for me to make the item. "wait" is use to fix ice crystal when this happen you pretty much are ****** and hope you never get it so wait is really the only thing you can do to save it. Maybe from 1-50 just level up "Wait" is pointless and not needed but to make gear "Wait" is very useful and i have the best gear for my craft and still can blow it up if all i do is press one thing.

    wait is boring but very useful maybe they can do something else with it.

    Oh I understand. Wait certainly isn't useless. My main point regarding Wait is just that making players use it an unpredictable amount of times just to get the right color or stabilize an element is a poor use of the player's time in an already-time-consuming process. It's useful in the current system, but not worth it from a design perspective imo.

    As a Weaver I have dealt with the dreaded Unstable Lightning Element, which I'm sure you know has a similar effect, many many times. My friends and I used to refer to it with the vulgar acronym F.L.E.
