all quests can be soloable? chocobo mount quest

Sorry about my broken english, im brazilian and its not my main language, after that let me continue: before i enter game already played ffxi for like 3 years at siren, now playing ff14 and belive till now getting lots of fun, till try do the chocobo mount quest, that demands a party trying like hell help for that (im conjuror 25) because its not soloable at all, and till now nothing, is there anyway to do that because that demand going at a instance / dungeon and a fight too outside against a mob lvl 30 and lol for a conjur lvl 25 not easy, and yes not in a linkshell too ;_; . Playing at Selbina realm / server. if someone or a couple guys can help on that im glad, ik already have a mount easy at 30 (at least looks like) but idk its way too big, and i just wanna a chocobo ;_;

There is no chocobo mount quest; once you are a Private Third Class in your Grand Company, you can hand in 3000 seals and get your choco. Are you having trouble getting your Private Third Class ranking? I don't remember my exact level when I did the quests for that, but it was under 30, and I soloed them.

And, no, all quests are emphatically *not* soloable. Most quests can be soloed by a 50, but beating the Primals (Ifrit (hard) or Moogle)) most definitely takes a full party of well-outfitted 50s. Other quests take parties to solve as well.

Remake your character on fabul and contact me if all else fails. Ill take care of it. and dont stress over 25 levels. getting those back is very easy.

To answer your question though:

You'll need to run through all three Grand Company questlines until you are allowed to be recruited fully into one of the three. This will involve you walking all across the overworld, back and forth, and eating anima like popcorn.

After you get through the three questlines and cutscene sequences, you will be enlisted as a permanent member of one of the three.

At this point you need to have gathered 3,000 seals. Usually, you will have enough seals by this point that you only need to do Imperial Devices (City) quest to have enough for your chocobo. This is the only part that requires a party or high level player to escort you.

For the time being, my suggestion to you would be to hit 30 and get that goobue, it'll save you a lot of time you'll be spending walking from NPC to NPC for the 'chocobo questline'.

If you're trying to do Thousand Maws of Toto-rak, it's not required in order to rank up and get your Chocobo.

If you're having trouble with the Golem NM, don't forget that the NPC gave you an item to use that weakens its attack and defense by a lot (you can use it with the icon in the main menu or the micro menu that looks like a little scroll, make sure you are targeting the golem and within range of it). Also try getting level 26, Stoneskin will help you a LOT.

If you're trying to do Thousand Maws of Toto-rak, it's not required in order to rank up and get your Chocobo.

Ahaha, nice to find another countryman here. Though keeping to english for now in respect for the site (do tell me if the language gets a bit hard, I can go with portuguese if you wanna).

Anyway, the chocobo itself has no quest as has been stated, but you seem to be actually attempting "Thousand Maws of Toto-rak". Check in your journal if you're not in the "Imperial Devices" quest. Yeah, that is a particularly daunting quest that requires a party for sure. You might want to go over to Selbina's forum section and ask for a party. Alternatively, use the Party Search feature (the game is very bad at explaining itself, just look for it in the main manu) and hunt for a party. You do seem to be on one of the most populated servers.

Regardless, another one of the possible quests you might be attempting has you fighting against a huge golem in Gridania, do indeed use the item you're given (by clicking the little scroll-like icon in the micro-menu and targetting the beast) because it's almost the only way to beat it.

I was told that it wasn't possible to get a Chocobo solo because when you finally join a company, I think there are only 2 quests which are available and soloable that will give you seals, and it leaves you something like 400 short (can't remember exactly how much). But you can talk to the NPC in your Grand Company they ask for items and that's how I managed to get my last few seals. Then when I did do the 25 instance dungeon I could use it to rank up instantly.

Yes, whoever you talked to was misinformed. Once you make Pvt 3rd Class, there *are* only two quests available. Neither is soloable, but they both give large amounts of seals, making them the easiest way to earn your choco (it's how I earned mine). They are not, however, the only way to get seals; you can (as you discovered) turn in supplies and materials for seals. You can also do company levequests (which are handed out by a Company officer at an aetheryte, not at a leve counter) and company chocobo caravan escorts for seals as well.

There are 5 non-required quests that award Grand Company seals (there are more, but you're blocked out of doing some of them unless you're signed up to that specific GC), several of which can be soloed. You can indeed get enough seals for a chocobo solo.

For example, if you joined the Maelstrom, you could solo these two quests to finish off your necessary seals: "The Cove" (300 seals) and "Saving the Stead Instead" (300 seals). If you joined a different GC, the two 300-seal optional quests are different, but still soloable.

I find "Gone With The Wind" (700 seals) and "When Alchemists Cry" (700 seals) to be soloable as well. You can do these regardless of which GC you've signed up for. "Kobold and the Beautiful" (700 seals) is also doable by anyone, but that one is hard to solo.

You're also overlooking Company leves which are just like other soloable leves, that's how I got my bird, still haven't been into the instances and I'm now level 50.
