The New Security Token :)

SE i do love the token but everyday i press that botton i am scared of it not giving me my code.

So i have a better idea that you guys can do to make this better for people who want that feeling of extra security.

Bring out an ap for all phones like World Of Warcraft did so we can sign our accounts to our phones and it gives us the code that way because really our phones are really never going to die and if they do not hard to charge the bat.

Please SE this is better i hate fearing that someday i cant log on to SE because my token is dead and you guys are on hoilday or closed for other reasons. ><

What do you guys who play this game think of this idea? How many use the and worry about its bat life?

I completely agree that a phone app that functioned the same as our security tokens would be awesome, even if I had to pay for it. I'm not too worried about my token running out of battery or malfunctioning, but a phone app would be convenient regardless.

I do think other players have also brought up this point though.

i dont mind paying for the app for my phone if we have to at least my account will be safe and no need to worry that the day my token dies i could still get on

Do I really want to have to pay for a security token app? Of course I'd prefer to have it for free! That said, the current security tokens cost money, probably because the entire technology is licensed from Vasco, makers of the Digipass Go 6, so I would be ok paying for an app to do the same thing, though I'd obviously expect it to be significantly cheaper.

yea we need the app the token wasnt all that much, blizzard does the token as well for cash as well as a free app for all phones so y can't we have this shouldnt be to hard for SE to make

Smart phone apps are plan for 2.0 forward i'm sure a token app for your smart phone is one of there top list just have to wait.
