Having trouble crafting the 30-40 lvl vintage gear?

I'm trying to craft the vintage coatee, and when I go to select the moth-eaten coatee it says it isn't in my inventory when I made sure that it was.I don't know if there is something I need to do first, or if I need stormblood to craft it. This is happening with all of the vintage items, and after doing some searching it seems to be only me having this trouble.

Is the vintage item in your inventory or in your armory?

Inventory = the place where you store all items, like food, crafting materials and so on
Armory = the place where you store your gear

Since the vintage items can also be worn as normal gear and count as gear, they might have ended up in there. In that case place them in your inventory and you should be able to select them from there.
