Can we have a clarification on the purpose of PvP Teams?

Season 7 started and there is no Light Party rankings. We kept our rating from preseason (2.2k Diamond).

It's understandable if there is no Light Party rankings since it is historically abused like crazy. There was mentions of tournaments but I'm sceptical on SEs word with that. Chaos Team Ranked was pretty active because a lot of people believed there would be more rewards, and now with the confirmation that there isn't I don't believe we will see many matches go on anymore.

Is there absolutely no incentive to play Team Ranked outside of the achievements? Not even the old retired Light Party achievements? (Of the Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum/Diamond Pack etc)

this shouldnt even be a question, of course LP will have rewards besides the eversharp stuff, just hasn't been announced yet.

the real complaint is why LP rankings aren't reset/broken
