Squadron limit break (Ungarmax) can be used in regular duties by any job

This was reported 4 months ago and still not fixed, it makes lb1 stronger than lb3 by giving the entire party a 50% damage bonus for 15 mins, people have been abusing this for raids. This should be hotfixed asap.

Note, the way to use it is not even abusing a bug, SE just somehow forgot to disable the LB outside of squadron duties.

It also has been reported already: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...mmand-Missions and it has been moved to "accepted bugs". I do hope it gets top priority, as it trivializes ALL the content. (Raids, Ultimate, etc). 50% increase, for 15 seconds, while being able to expand it even further with an AST. It's just crazy. Needs to be fixed asap.

I think the worst part about it is that it's pretty clearly unintentional and those who are abusing it are getting a major, unfair advantage over honest players. Will they be punished, I wonder? I recall some horrible, selfish players using a similar exploit to make use of POTD items in PvP and dungeons yet in that case the individual(s) involved were never punished, or so I'm led to believe given that they're still around.

Yet if someone, in the heat of the moment, says a 'bad word' on this forum or in-game then there's a real risk that all their hard work will go down the drain and they'll be hit by the full force of the rules. In short, these sorts of exploits are plaguing the game and will continue to do so unless they are dealt with swiftly and harshly.

They should ban the players abusing this, obvious cheating and this is not something you do accidentally. It's almost the 10-year anniversary of the FFXI Salvage Dupe mass bannings too!

The PVP pomander thing was definitely stopped and according to people who know much more about how it was done than I do, attempting to do it again gets you an instant ban.

I hope so too..its already annoying to see the same bots running around because they dont accept a video as evidence and having some really horrible players that are harrassing different players still active (after reporting). Its also a bit sad that official streamers can use that certain device in a video and not get banned from that but if someone talks about numbers in a run they can get reported and punished for that.

So please use the same rules and punishments for everyone..and if someone uses such a exploid to beat the hardest content then they should be punished for that.

If they banned people for exploiting a bug in their own game they would be admitting to their own player base that they are aware of the bug and that they are too lazy to fix it since its been four months since this discovery. They were quick to fix the Sigmascape 5 Savage bug were the Warrior could skip an entire phase for the party by instantly killing their ghost in their own car. Banning players in pvp for using third party software in astragalos is completely understandable but punishing players for using shortcuts in the actual game itself is just wrong. The developers should be addressing this, not the GMs.

Honestly, this bug could lead to a new feature about LB.
I would welcome without hesitation a LB type support with my AST.

They did exactly this with FFXI back in the day though, banning the exploiters after a year of investigation (https://kotaku.com/5137673/hundreds-...nal-fantasy-xi).

Edit: Small correction, the investigation itself didn't last a year, but they went through one year worth of chat logs during the investigation, so I guess that's how long the bug was exploited before the fix.
