Mouse not working in full screen

Hi , my mouse doesn't work on full screen. as soon as i change it to full screen my mouse cannot click on anything, i can hover over a button and it highlights but i cant click anything.

so the timer runs out and goes back to normal.

Once its back to normal the mouse no longer works in the game so i have to ctrl,alt,del to close the program down and run it again.

This is so frustrating , and after googling for ages it seems this only ever use to be an issue in 2013 lol with VIsta pcs.

Im running windows 10 64 bit , gtx1080 etc etc. a good computer. so i have no idea what the problem is.

Anyone know?

This also occurs even when i use the FFxiv software mouse. if any of you were thinking that would be a fix.#

When exactly did this start? Do you remember anything on your PC changing/updating that may coincide with this?

What kind of mouse do you have?

You don't have this same issue in borderless or windowed?

I have similar issues atm after the emergency maintenance, but i cant click anything in either full screen or window, keyboard dont seem to work either so i'm stuck at the start screen, any recommendations? or is it just a botched maintenance ?

Same Problem for me. I saw that the Maintenance was finished earlier so i rushed Online at about 11:45. Could use the Launcher without any Problem. But as soon as i got to the Main Menu i can't click on anything neither can i close FFXIV again. Not even the Steam Drop Down Menu would open up through my Keyboard. I restartet the Game and my PC a couple of Times. I unplugged and plugged my Mouse and Keyboard while the Game was closed and open. Nothing worked. Then i tried a Controller and boom. That worked. I logged in and everything was fine. I thought maybe for some reason i switched to Controller in the Options Menu. But it wasn't switched. I Switched between Mouse- and Keybard Mode and Controller Mode a couple of times but that dind't work either. I tried Setting it to Window cause normally i Play on Fullscreen. Didn't work either.

Im suing a Razer DeathAdder Chroma Mouse and a Razer BlackWidow Tournament Eddition. Haven't had any Problems with them neither had my PC any Updates or i changed something.

Same problem here. It only started after the emergency hotfix. It was fine yesterday.

Keyboard is CoolerMaster Devastator MB24 and Mouse is a CoolerMaster Devastator MB2k.

Do all of you have a gaming mouse/keyboard? If so, make sure that the drivers for these are up to date.

You can try a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

If these do not work, try a full reinstallation of the game. Make sure to reinstall the files in the 'My Documents' folder as well.
