Telling stupid NPCs what's on your mind

Couple of guys I know were having a late night drinking adventure, and were not happy the way a couple of NPCs were talking to them. So they started submitting GM tickets about how they were being treated by some NPCs. After the 5th one a GM got with them to tell them to stop or they were going to get hit with a 72hr ban.

Friends don't let friends drink and play FFXIV.

Seriously though, that serves them right, it's like getting drunk and ringing up the police and making prank calls, it's not going to end well. Lesson: don't prank the GMs!

Back on topic, this is more an issue 1.0 players who didn't get the Legacy story could sympathize with, but when I first started ARR, this is what I wanted to say to Miounne when she didn't recognize Enki and made me re-register as an adventurer despite already being one:

"I think you need glasses, or at least need to check your registry better, I registered five years ago so my name should already be there! I'm not some green wet-behind-the-ears-just-off-the-carriage sproutling adventurer, I'm a survivor of Dalamud! I fought the Garleans at Carteneau! Don't believe me? Where else did I get this strange mark on my back? A hard night of drinking at Limsa? For Azeyma's sake, surely someone remembers me and all I did back then!! Urrghhh!!!"

You guys brought up an interesting topic. Earth is refered to as a star in ffvii and advent children as well. It's not even a compound word, just the kanji for star.

A quick wikipedia search for a proper star showed the word 恒星 (kousei). I also did a quick search on kotobank and the definition of star is as follows:

A very similar definition on weblio

star; any light-emitting (or reflecting) heavenly body (except for the sun and the moon)
