Lev 70 Fisher Ret no fat cat

My fisher retainer been out on 14 and 15 W.E ventures everyday since HW (so like 3 years plus) and still no fat cat. I thought it was because my character fisher didn't do the big fishing quest so I completed that at Christmas time 2017. Still no fat cat. Is this normal?

rngesus? what's the gathering / ilvel of your fisher's gear? its been ages since i checked price of fat cat on the MB, couldn't you just buy it if it's cheap enough?

I just got my fat cat the other day after about the same amount of time. Just takes luck. I was beginning to think it was impossible as well. Hope you get it soon!

I would assume that 14/15 ventures have the lowest possible chance of getting you a Fat Cat.

Get better gear on your retainers.

1 - Level them up to 60, then put level 60 gear on them.
or
2 - Level them up to 61 or 62? Then put the low level purchasable-from-vendor SB gear on them.

Then send them out on level 18/19 (XVIII/XIX) ventures. Should make it easier. Not a guarantee, but certainly better RNG I'd bet.
