Hello everyone, and thank you for the information.

The error you are all experiencing stems from something interfering with DirectX or your graphics drivers. I would suggest doing a clean boot. To do this, open the task manager and find the 'Start Up' tab. Here, disable everything and restart the computer.

You can also try making an exception for your anti-virus/firewall and doing a clean install of your graphic card drivers (if you have not already).

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

    Hello,

    Same issue.
Have installed last NVidia Drivers 390.77 (release 29/01/2018)
    Have deactivated everything in "startup"
FFXIV is not blocked by my firewall nor antivirus

Whatever directx i choose (9 or 11), after a short time playing, i have colored spot like confettis everywhere on the screen, getting bigger quickly and then game crash with this directx error. I need each time to reboot computer completely.
I'm back to the game since yesterday after almost 6 month away, i had no issue in the past. I'm a bit bored that i paid 60 days + servant service if i cannot play
