Steps:
1. Turn to where you're facing parallel to a wall where an Imitation Stained Crystal Ornament is placed.
2. Enter housing mode (indoor furnishings).
3. Try to select something near, but further out than the ornament is, and you will always select the ornament as the "hitbox" for selection stretches out way further than it should. It doesn't have to be another wall mounted furniture, it can be anything.
