Look at the 320 crafted gear and mats. It's pretty much the exact same thing, except it's now 350.

You dont, but depending on how you melded your Ala M set, you might need to remeld it to at the very least meet the stats of the new augmented set.

I'd be hoping most would use best set specially if HQ one. Then again that is just common sense.

I didn't overmeld any 6s into my Ala set - which puts me lower than the augmented sets. Ain't no way in hell's lid I'm going to get all those sets so I gotta do the heartbreaking overmelding of 6s and watching millions of gil explode in my face

I think blowing materia up is fun!

And now I get two chances, one on overmelding, one on retrieval!
