Area and coordinates: Shirogane Apartment Complex on Balmung Server.
Housing: Shirogane Apartment Area. (10th ward I believe)
Steps:
1. Emptied my apartment of items, but kept the apartment because I saw it would reimburse me gil for the apartment because I was transferring to a preferred server.
2. Pulled all items from the market.
3. Logged out of the game
4. Logged into mogstation
5. Went to the transfer option. Selected realm and character. (Balmung to Diabolos for Eris Gallow)
6. Saw the warning about furnishings in the apartment would be lost. Already picked them up. Saw no mention of Storeroom.
7. Completed transfer
8. Logged in. Assumed storeroom items would be on the caretaker, or locked untill I got another housing of some sort.
9. No items to be found, No gil for my apartment was given to me either.

I would have emptied the storeroom had I known it would be deleted. I assumed I simply would not have access to them till I bought a house or another apartment, or that they would go to the caretaker. I had every item from every holiday since I bought the game in there, as well as every expensive items I didn't use because they didn't fit well in my apartment. Please, can something be done? This is sickening to think I lost all of this stuff. :c

I think your done for on your furnishings....as the storeroom is only available if you have housing ownership...last i checked anyway....should have stuffed them in your retainers as it looks like retainers will follow you through. :/

It actually lists an exception for when moving from a congested world to a preferred world for the housing. Thankfully. And thanks.

Not finding this exception you mention....aside from reimbursement....the land/ownership is still lost.
