Since classes were dropped can I have my level 70 Rogue/Thief please Relics Please?

I'm sure there are plenty of people who loved Rogue aka Thief and would love to seen them brought back to life!
The first level jobs from classes like Rogue somehow just get shafted after the "job" takes over like no Relic and NO Relic Armor... Any plans to bring these from out of shame? Try going archer or rogue in a duty!!!

The job doesnt get shafted, it simply changes into what the job was supposed to be. rogue becomes the ninja, archer the bard.

Rogue and archer don't get any skills past 30.

That being said I wish theyd do more of a thief class with Rogue, but branching off like smn/sch theyve already said they wouldnt do. so...

So, there is no relic for Rogue, it's just NIN.

The class system was an old system from 1.0 that they went with/salvaged for 2.0 re-release because it saved them time during development. Every job released from 3.0 onward has no base class.


It is possible that in 5.0 they will (finally) do away with the class system entirely, as they've expressed their disdain for it ad nauseum.

If I remember correctly with SB they were nearly away with that so we might idd have them completely remove that system

Archer>Bard made more sense, but Rogue> Ninja less so.
There was really not much difference between Rogue and Ninja (**when it was first introduced)

Rogue evolving into ninja has been a thing ever since the very first Final Fantasy. Your thief in that job evolved into ninja.

Yes I want to play as an archer not s bard although they've kinda smoothed that out to where a bard of more of a dps than a singing party buffer...

But still I think rogue aka thief should be a separate entity from ninja. Ninja is definitely Asian where as the thief you think more medieval European...

I am fairly sure thieves have existed in every single human society ever.....
Your view of a what a "thief" is may be overly shaped by modern RPGs, but that's a different thing.

Archers and Bards have even less in common for that matter. Archers are fairly universal, while proper Bards are based on celtic culture - and were much more than just musicians.
