I wish we could get rid of the hanging lights, all the pillars against the walls and in the middle of the floors, and all windows.

I had to waste 15 objects just to cover the walls and windows on the ground floor before I could even start to think about a design.

My bane is the awkward space between the stairway and the wall of a medium house. Few furnishings fit in there, its pretty unusable and would have been better to just have the staircase against the wall. I suspect that the reason for the wall pillars is to break the pattern of wallpapers. They're likely not a perfectly repeating pattern and would have a seam otherwise.

Been saying this since housing first came out. I cover almost all wall pillars as they look hideous imo.

They're likely not a perfectly repeating pattern and would have a seam otherwise.

I highly doubt this is the case, just looking at the patterns, they're all very very simple and many of them appear in other places in the game. The pillars are awful and we should have the option to remove them. It's especially bad for Mist houses because they are so large in the corner.

The Pillars are what i hate the most
They ruin a lot of ideas
Partitions don't cover them completely and not putting them directly on them ruins the overall pattern and just looks akward and plain out WRONG. Its not symmetric at all and if you don't cover the pillars somehow it just looks stupid.

The fact that we have pillars but can't replace the wall ones reduces what you can do with them by alot, too.
If you don't plan to put walls over them, reducing your overall furnishing numbers alltogether.

In short, the pillars should burn.

I have an intense hatred of the pillars. I have a house in Shiro and....I absolutely can't stand those pillars

You know what might be a good compromise? Just let us clip through the pillars (at least to the wall).
