Square Enix Let's talk about the lack of a cart function in the Mogstation please?

Well good job, I forgot that the Mogstation is single-transaction and that people have had issues with their card's fraud department seeing this type of activity and then suspending your card until you take action.

We really should talk about having a cart on the Mogstation, especially when you want to advertise a sale AND release a bunch of new items.

Did you really think I wouldn't buy both carbuncle mounts, the emote, and maybe the carbuncle gear? Or if I wanted to take advantage and add one of the mounts or minions I neglected to buy earlier?

My card was declined on the 4th transaction. I had to text back to the free text message saying I needed to verify transactions and that I then can go continue. I made the next transaction successfully and decided to stop even though I still want to continue making purchases that are gifts. An hour later I got a call that I left to voicemail saying they were my bank's fraud department suspending my card after this suspicious activity. They also sent me a text message from a -different- line than the earlier text message. Both of these told me I could use online banking if I had it to clear the suspension alert or call. I used online banking but there wasn't an alert so I had to call in anyway. Got the alert taken care of. That took about 2 hours.

I totally understand the need to do gifts separately from individuals but I'm sure you can figure out how to program that. Maybe. I know it's like beating a dead horse but Steam can do it.

Please put a cart function in. You don't want my card to be declined and neither do I. I don't want to have my bank accidentally issue a chargeback that I don't want and neither do you nor do I want my account banned because of this because I've heard of some of those 'USE CRYSTA!' stories.

I completely agree. Mogstation needs a cart feature. It’s a very simple and basic feature that any and all online shops have, so why isn’t there one for this game’s cash shop?

One way to get around the chance of your CC company putting a hold on your card, is to buy Crysta and use that until SE puts in the cart function. That's what I normally do, stock up on Crysta and use it until it runs out/low and there is something new I absolutely want. Usually, it sits there for quite some time(I last recharged it EARLY this year, and it's finally down to 599 left)

While this is a workaround-ish, you still have to separately buy each item which in of itself is a bit of a chore for digital items. a cart would be a much welcome addition.

I wonder how much of this is because many of the mogstation items are for a single-character, where choosing that character happens before payment. If all items were for all characters perhaps we could queue them. Or maybe a system could be designed where we select per character while adding it to the cart. Or they could go the -really- easy route and just generate item redemption codes when buying on Mog Statation, and let people add as many things to a cart as they desire. Then, players could just redeem items using the built in functionality and for single-character items, choose at that time. Or wait. Or gift them. Or whatever else.

tldr: There are a bunch of different ways SE could fix this. They should probably pick one because anything would be better than what's currently there.

Please put in a cart. I get charged an extra fee for international purchases from my bank so everytime I want to buy multiple items I end up being charged per item due to the lack of cart system.
