There’s a chill in the air across the realm, and the faintest sound of bells ring in the ears of adventurers far and wide. Decorations twinkle amidst the city-states, shining like the starlit sky. ’Tis the season to spread tidings of good cheer and celebrate with tinsel, twinkleboxes, and all the trappings of festivity!

Capture the essence of your holiday spirit this year by participating in the Starlight Starbright Screenshot Contest!

Theme:
Celebrating the Starlight Celebration seasonal event

How to Enter:
We highly encourage you to use the new /grouppose command features to get improved camera angles and camera effects for these screenshots. We also encourage you to vary camera angles, levels, distance, and terrain for originality in composition.

Once you are ready, please submit your screenshot in the official entry thread on the forum.

Be sure to include the following information in your submission:

• Your screenshot.
• A short caption.
• Your character’s name.
• Your selection from the available in-game prizes.

You must abide by the following rules and guidelines when creating and submitting your entry:

• One entry per person. If multiple entries containing the same character are posted, only the first entry will be accepted.
• Entries cannot be edited after submission.
• You may use image editing software to crop your screenshots, but you may not use software to otherwise alter, enhance, or add more features to your screenshot.
• You must read, agree to, and comply with the Official Rules below.

Winner Selection:
The FINAL FANTASY XIV Community Team will select 100 winners based on creativity, humor, originality, and overall execution according to the criteria listed above.

Prizes:
The 100 winners will each receive one in-game item of his/her choice of the items below:

• Scarf of Wondrous Wit
• Ahriman Choker
• Mandragora Choker
• Bluebird Earring
• Noble Barding

*In-game prizes are transferable only to characters under the same service account as the player who entered the contest.

From these 100 winners, the FINAL FANTASY XIV Community Team will select 10 grand prize winners. Each grand prize winner shall receive the following prize (in addition to the in-game item):

One (1) Fat Chocobo Plush (Winter version)



This will be included in addition to their choice of one (1) in-game item.

Entry Period:
December 15, 2017 at 12:01 a.m. (Pacific Time) to December 29, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. (Pacific Time)


Eligibility:
You must be a legal resident of the fifty (50) states of the United States of America, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or Canada (excluding Quebec), have a valid North American Square Enix Account, and be over the age of 13 to enter.

STARLIGHT STARBRIGHT SCREENSHOT CONTEST (THE “PROMOTION”) OFFICIAL RULES

KEY RULES

A. Official Rules: The Official Rules for this Promotion consist of both (i) these key rules summarizing the important rules for participating in the Promotion (the “Key Rules”) and (ii) the Additional Promotion Official Rules (“Additional Rules”) applicable to your place of legal residence. B. Territories: This Promotion is open only to individuals who are legal residents and physically located in one (1) of the following countries/territories at the date and time of entry (the “Promotion Jurisdiction”):

• The fifty (50) states of the United States of America, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
• Canada, excluding Quebec.

C. Age Limit: This Promotion is open only to individuals 13 years of age or older at the date and time of entry.

D. Entry Period: You may enter the Promotion only between December 15, 2017 at 12:00 a.m. (Pacific Time) and December 29, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) (the “Entry Period”).

E. Entry Procedure and Limitations: In order to enter the Promotion, you must complete the following steps during the Entry Period:

Step One:

• Create a screenshot (“Screenshot”) of at least one (1) player celebrating the Starlight Celebration!
• You are encouraged to use the new /grouppose command features to get the proper camera angles and camera effects for the Screenshots.
• You are encouraged to vary camera angles, levels, distance, and terrain for originality in composition.

Step Two:

• Submit the Screenshot in the entry thread posted on the OFFICIAL ENTRY THREAD in the Final Fantasy XIV forum and include the following information in your Forum post:

• The Screenshot.
• A short caption describing the Screenshot.
• The character name of the Entrant.
• Your selection from the available prizes

• You must not include any additional personal information in your entry.
• Entries may not be edited after submission.

Additional Entry Rules:

• One (1) entry per person. If multiple entries containing the same character are posted, only the first entry submitted will be considered.
• Subsequent screenshots by players within an already posted screenshot will not be considered after the first.

F. Winner Selection: The Sponsor, or Sponsor’s designee, shall select one hundred (100) winners from among all entries using the following methodology:

The FINAL FANTASY XIV Community Team will select one hundred (100) winning entries based on overall execution and quality.

From these one hundred (100) winning entries, the FINAL FANTASY XIV Community Team will select ten (10) grand prize winners based on overall execution and quality.

G. Prize(s): Each winner shall receive one (1) of the following in-game items (at winner’s selection):

• One (1) Ahriman choker (an in-game Final Fantasy XIV item with no monetary value)
• One (1) Mandragora choker (an in-game Final Fantasy XIV item with no monetary value)
• One (1) Bluebird earring (an in-game Final Fantasy XIV item with no monetary value)
• One (1) Scarf of Wondrous Wit (an in-game Final Fantasy XIV item with no monetary value)
• One (1) Noble Barding (an in-game Final Fantasy XIV item with no monetary value)

If the Winner does not choose an in-game item, Sponsor shall choose an in-game item for him/her.

Each grand prize winner shall also receive the following prize:

• One (1) TAITO plush of the following character: Fat Chocobo (Winter version)
  (approximate retail value of $19.99 USD)

H. Winner Notification: Sponsor, or Sponsor’s designee, will notify Winner(s) by or before January 12, 2018 by e-mail and forum post.

I. Sponsor: The sponsor of this Promotion is Square Enix, Inc.

J. Other Details: You must have an active Final Fantasy XIV account for the North American region to enter.

By entering the Promotion, you agree to be bound and abide by these Key Rules and the Additional Rules applicable to your place of legal residence, and you represent that you satisfy all eligibility requirements to enter the Promotion.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS PROMOTION. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
