    Error when trying to play FFXIV

    Just recently started getting error on 11/29/17
    Starts after logging on and hitting play button.. then shows error and exits program
    Tried restarting computer - no change
    Tried defragging - no change
    No recent changes to software, hardware, or peripherals
    Been playing on this PC since release of game (ya its old, LOL)

    (bunch of characters in foreign language)

    Just out of curiosity, what version of DirectX are you using? And can you post your hardware/OS specs? Sounds like you're having video card driver issues and knowing your configuration will help SE troubleshoot the issue. A screen shot of the error message will also be good to have.

    Re-installed video card drivers, and problem solved.
