I don't want to disfigure my front yard placing a item somewhere where I don't want it, just to get on my balcony. What Soft Boiled said is a much better idea. D:

You can do the arch+stump like behind the house, on a medium or large plot anyway. It's just extremely ...glitchy? You have to get the stump in just the right spot for it to work. It's almost more hassle than it's worth tbh

My FC got on the roof of our large carbuncle house.

Classy on the front yard too, I'll try to remember to grab a screenshot when I get home. No glitch used.

I spent about 10 min trying to figure out if I could get onto the balcony on my GF's and my mansion...there is a fake door where it should let us zone out! UGH! This is a good tip though OP I'm going to try it

my previous FC had a mansion in mist where we found placing a tall enough decoration in the back left corner of the lot behind the house allowed jumping onto a set of invisible ledges that would then allow jumping on to the roof of the mansion itself.

I have a large Moogle House can someone tell me how to get on top? Also can someone explain the Stump+Arch trick and the other ways in a little more detail? Thanks.
