    4.0 Legendary Nodes Gathering Reqs

    Just finished collecting the MIN/BTN books and it's looking like melds will be needed to collect HQ of the items, but you can gather without.

    Presently at 885 Gathering, 824 Perception, and I can gather all four with 75% success rate, each take two attempts to uncover.

    1200 Perception is required to gather HQ Torreya Logs, Rhea, and Palladium Ore.
    1200 Gathering is required to gather HQ Chromite Ore.
    670 GP is required to have increased gathering attempts (+1) on Torreya Logs, Chromite Ore, and Palladium Ore.


    http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/11126 Melded Serge gear that hits all reqs, with 700 GP.

    Not worth it for Bot at least. Neither the two items from the books sell enough or at a good price. Maybe MIN has a better market but you're going to be in the red for ages.
