Was wondering how the population and queue times faired on Coeurl.
Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty much Zero Queue, great community as well. And, if you're in the market for a new FC, check us out (Pain Train) PTX... Feel free to message Scox Littletoes, Hard Charger, Shadowlord Pain or Ulrich Ironstein in-game.. I think you'll be glad you transferred. The bonuses are well worth it.

Not sure if you've made the jump yet. I transferred on Monday night from Balmung and have been incredibly happy the past 2 days for the move. At the moment, I have not come across a single downfall and being able to actually play the game instead of Line Simulator 4000 has been great. I guess I did see one RMT shout in Limsa which was kind of weird after not seeing them for years on Balmung.
I'm considering the jump as well. Are there any downfalls as far as queue time for dungeons goes? I'm not quite sure what is shared when you queue up as well as the Auction House
The Market Board will definitely be different as supply and demand is different coming from a mega server. That said it's both good and bad. When you need to buy things it usually costs more but when you want to sell things you don't have a thousand undercutters in a war to see who can drop the price below the actual cost of the item first.
As for dungeon queues and any instanced content, you would have the exact same queue on any of the Aether datacenter realms that you would on Gilgamesh. You also have the same cross server PF. Both of these pull from your entire datacenter, not just your server. So there are absolutely no downfalls in this regard as it's 100% the same queue.
Thanks Dement, really appreciate it.
I think i'll make the jump tonight. Been dealing with queues of 1000+ during prime time and literally takes me about an hour to log in.. i'm still sort of recently returned so I don't know anyone except maybe 2 people on Gilgamesh so now seems a good time to make the move.
Also apparently they still have small houses available? Awesome!
I logged in last night during primetime to a queue of 1 and a 10 second wait. It still brings tears to my eyes to watch it after dealing with Balmung all last weekend.
Not sure if you'd be interested but a group came with me from Balmung and we started up a version of our old FC. We started it on Tuesday and should be hitting Rank 6 today which is when we can buy a house. The only downside is that until we are a bit higher rank, we haven't been putting up the smaller EXP buffs yet. We plan to once we're able to put up the 2nd versions of them, though and will be getting an Aetherial Wheel going to build level 3 versions once we have the house probably today. If you want an opportunity to help build an FC from the ground up, you're welcome to join us. Either way feel free to add me when you get on the server.
They had houses in the Goblet when I got here on Monday but a lot of people have been making the move, many of which have never seen an open plot so they buy it immediately haha. I've also seen plots change hands much more frequently already. In either event, it's going to be exponentially easier to get a house on Coeurl than it will be on Balmung or Gilgamesh.

Hope you like it, if you've already made it over here.
My FC and I just transferred from Balmung the other night. The queues are amazing, and I've had so few problems. If I have any complaints, it's mostly that things on the MB cost a little more and honestly I feel a little lonelier here. When my FC members aren't on and the cities are ghost towns (comparatively) it feels kind of like playing solo.
Everything else is great and I recommend it.
Yeah, I was shocked at some of the MB costs. That's a two way street though as I gather and craft. On Balmung it was incredibly common for an item to quickly be undercut to a point that the price of the raw materials was worth more than the price of a finished product which makes one question why they're even crafting.
Also I really like the fewer people. It's refreshing to go into a city and not have my chat log immediately spammed with the most asinine topics conceivable. I don't have to read through political discussions or listen to people discussing futa at a non-stop rate as if the joke hadn't already died.
Yeah I like my servers lively, but Balmung was a bit too intense. I hated going to Ul'dah because of the constant futa questions and you could NEVER see anything you were trying to find in the Quicksand!
And I wonder of Coeurl will get more people as the massive queues continue on in the bigger worlds.
