I was just thinking about it but, all the Mako PvP gear, once bought at least once, can be rebought from the Calamity Salvager for a reasonnable amount of gils.
What if every special gear we loot, mostly dungeon, trial and raid ones, could be rebought from that NPC once we obtained them once?
It wouldn't harm the game since all of those gear are untradable. Ok maybe it would make infinite amount of GC seal as long as we got gil. Well then do something so that when we bought the gear from that NPC it isn't exchangeable for GC seals.
This way people would still need to do content to get them by looting or token exchange, but instead of "Damn i have no more place for my glamour!" we would have "Nice, I can get rid of it and buy it later on if I wanna use it as glamour!".
'cause obviously, Yoshida saying "doing a glamour log is like increasing inventory slot", we all know it's false as hell. How 40 more slot would allow us to store the 200+ new gear they will create over StormBlood alongside the thousand of gear already existing? Event if they keep increasing the inventory size, the number of gear keep increasing too, and the number of useless token we have to keep and hundreds of materials too.
For people asking the source it is a Q&A in a french article made during the Press Tour which the embargo ended the may 31th
Translation (by me)JOL : Les mirages sont un aspect très populaire de Final Fantasy XIV.

Have you considered a system allowing us to conserve the glamours without having to keep the gear in the inventory? Like a log for example.
Yoshida: There's two reasons keeping us from doing it.
Server side, saving all the necessary datas would be the same as increasing inventory size. And if we were setting up this system client side, you would lose all your datas when changing platform and there would be a risk to cheat because some player would edit the datas.
Moreover, if we were enabling players to keep their glamour, this could affect the game's economy because gears would fastly lose their value as you would need to obtain them only once.
We could consider adding a glamour historic to help people choose the gears to keep.
