    [Suggestion] Gold Saucer and Housing

    The following is not a solution and depends on what developers are able to do. This is a simple suggestion a little special. Sorry in advance for the length.

    Opportunity to win or buy a large house or apartment within the Gold Saucer. Great preference for a house.

    This housing could be exclusive since it would be subject to different criteria / restrictions not exhaustive:
    • Level of Grand Company ie as conventional housing;
    • Can not be sold or given away so would be personal and guaranteed to the player owning it;
    • The land and the construction could have unique specificities only for this housing;
    • Possibility of total or partial cumulation with the individual houses, apartments and FC's houses. Limited to 1 copy per selected categories and per character or 1 per account.

    This property would be available on:
    • Either by purchasing with MGP from the Gold Saucer attendant or another special NPC (such as the housindg merchant) at Gold Saucer and only there. The amount could be in the order of a few million MGP (thus more expensive than Fenrir and even if it was said that there would be nothing more expensive) and possibly modeled on that of the classic houses. This could give a price of about 4,500,000 MGP which is an important amount and would go in the direction of a certain exclusivity of housing.
    • Either as a reward for an achievement (long to realize) or a multi-step quest linked to the Gold Saucer that would give a special right of ownership that would simply be exchanged with the Gold Saucer attendant or the quest giver. This exchange would provide a title of ownership that gives access to housing.

    The housing could be in a specific area that can group other houses of this type or be instantiated. In the case of a complete zone (as current), the latter could be instantiated as needed. In the case where this is instantiated (with or without neighbors), it would be interesting to be able to choose the environment in which the housing is located or even be able to modify it at will. But if not possible, an exclusive environment would be good. It could be for example a view from or from the Gold Saucer, an area in clouds, underwater...

    Regarding the land and the house (or apartment), to remain in exclusivity, size and capacity could be a (little) larger than their classic versions. Customizations of land and / or house (exterior / interior), available only for this housing, would be great. It could be furniture, walls, floors, decorations, dyes, etc ...
    In the case of a large apartment, it is possible to do it on one level. But I will rather see a duplex, triplex or even a penthouse style on several floors (with balcony, terrace with / or garden patch). For a penthouse, I think that instancing it would be more appropriate.

    Access to the house (or apartment) as a visitor would remain a choice as for the classic version. However, access to the land / area would only be possible if (cumulable or not):
    • A player has a land / home;
    • Invitation of a player;
    • Is part of the friends even has a permission to visit house / zone.

    The access authorization could be temporary or permanent:
    • Temporary in the sense that it would have a limit in time, access. This could be the case, for example, by a player accessing the residential area and as long as it remains, access is valid. If he leaves the area, he will have to ask for permission to return. But we can also imagine a limit in terms of duration, for example, access for x hours or days.
    • Permanent or rather quasi-permanent for those who do not have housing in the area. The access would not have the restrictions related to the temporary appearance above but only related to being in the list of friends of a resident of the zone.

    I know it can do a lot of restrictions and constraints, but it would contribute to the "exclusive" aspect of that housing.

    Some quests may have common goals, similar to those of the weekly challenge log. There may be repetitive quests but as it is about having something "exclusive", it is conceivable.

    A series or list of quests goals to obtain the "exclusive" house (or apartment) of the Gold Saucer (the latter can be repeated and X can be increased), in bulk and not exhaustive:
    • Play once at all games (GATE included);
    • Played X times to all games;
    • Win X games;
    • Make X parts of Triple Triad;
    • Win X games of Triple Triad;
    • Win X MGP;
    • Win X MGP at different games either:
      • With fixed earnings;
      • With gains that can be different depending on the game therefore presence of several sub-objectives.
    • Participate in the Jumbo Cactpot;
    • Participate X times in the Jumbo Cactpot;
    • Win X MGP at the Jumbo Cactpot;
    • Play the Mini Cactpot;
    • Play X times at Mini Cactpot;
    • Win X MGP at Mini Cactpot;
    • Win X times 3600 or 10000 MGP at the Mini Cactpot;
    • Intervention of the Manderville family: Godbert, Hildibrand and / or Julyan and also Roland as quest givers or quest goals;
    • Possibility of quests off the Gold Saucer for example to promote the Gold Saucer through Eorzea, meet NPCs, etc;
    • Possibility of quests similar to that of the event Gold Saucer where the correct resolution would validate the quest.

    I remind you that what follows may apply for houses (even FC) and apartments. If it is not specified, it does not mean that it does not concern both.
    Some additional thoughts some of which could give an impression of life in the neighborhood / area:
    • To be able to choose the external aspect of the house and / or ground without restrictions related to the place of residence.
    • Instanced or semi-instanced houses and neighborhoods ie neighborhoods are loaded according to the number of players and the location of the house occupied.
      • If multiple players with the same location arrive in the neighborhood, each player will be on a different instance / map.
      • Houses whose player is not in the instance would be randomly loaded from all possible homes in the designated location. Then there could be a rotation every hour (for example) to change the house that appears. If an owner shows up, he would join one of the instances and his house would automatically be at his location which would stop the random rotation.
      • If the player leaves the instance and returns, he will not be guaranteed to return to the one he has left. He will have a new neighborhood.
      • If multiple players from one location arrive, they will be put on preexisting instances that do not have this slot yet. So the instances would be filled chronologically until the last created and then we would start at the beginning or new created instance. This would avoid population imbalances on the instances.
    • Have a single size field (the largest possible size) with the possibility to choose the starting house size (P, M, G) and be able to change it if desired to larger sizes except if already at maximum.
      • Evolution could go through a buyable authorization from an NPC or through a short (series of) quest(s).
      • It could also be related to the level of the character or Grand Company.
      • It could request an investment in materials as for aircraft.
    • Have a "shop" grouping all the craft trades on which you can buy, sell, manufacture components, recipes, objects. The shop would be on the ground or in the house or could be separated as CL rooms or workshop.
    • Have your own aircraft or shipping service (NPC) to make an expedition like the FC but to a lesser extent ie, for example, 1-2 aircraft at maximum, 1-2 shipments per day, ...
