    Red Scrip's being increased?

Just wanted to check with the Dev's if there's any plans to increase the red scrips cap since they just increased the scripture tome's?

I could be wrong, but something tells me not to expect it. Everything is proved based on only being able to get 450 per week, with a total cap of 500.

I was one of the ones who expected another color (green?) of scrip the first couple patches after people were geared up in the i170/i180 gear, and instead they came out with another token pair (goblin dice and goblin cups vs red gathering tokens and red crafting tokens). Not sure if SB will see another token or another scrip. The lack of increase in the red scrip caps so far, however, suggests new token types with the current scrips.

They probably will not increase the red scrip cap. The current restrictions on wallet size and weekly cap make it do that they can keep using red scrips in the future and change the token item red scrips are exchanged for to acquire top gear. If they nerf anything in regards to acquiring current gear it should be to convert the cost to blue scrips instead. Don't know if we'll see that soon or not though.

It needs to actually *be* top gear this time, though, not overshadowed by gear with inferior stats simply because you can meld it.

With the assumption that SE is a company of habit, that is not likely to happen.

    Ideally.

I went the ironworks route simply because it was one set of crofters gear not 8 sets.

To get 8 sets of 180 gear and augment them all to 200. Would take forever. It took me months just to get the 16 tools done to 200. Let alone 8 sets of left side gear and a set of right side. Prolly take you a year to do it all.

So looking at it the 200 stuff should be a lot better than ironworks because it's like. It'd to one job.

Probably they will move the red stuff to blue and thats about it. Anyways, something tell me that the big gate during SB are going to be those 6 costume deliver per week: like if you want to buy the best tool for mining first you are going to need to max up certain NPC first.

Than what would be the point of even having crafted gear? The current design works. You have a choice of higher base stats for a grind or lower base stats and have to deal with the disaster of overmelding for the best gear.

There point would be the crafted gear is omni discipline . The scrips gear is one discipline only. So giving i200 augmented gear better stats than fully.melded iron works wouldn't be broken. I actually believe it should have better stats than fully melded iron works stuff.

My reasoning is that if you wanted to get the augmented stuff for all 8 crafts it'd take you 440 goblin cups which in turn would take you 49 weeks to do. lookingatt hat even if players began getting cups straight away they still would not have full i200 Omni crafters even now. and they wouldn't until about may 25th this year. which is less than a month before 4.0 is due to land

because it'd take so long to get full sets for all 8 disciplines, it's likely people would prioritise there specialists and use crafted iron works gear for the rest of there DoH.

The way it is now the reverse of your question is true. What a the point in grinding 8 sets of gear when you can get 1 that does it all better. Specially with the time it would take to get i200 everything for 8 crafts. by the time you could possibly have all 8 sets 4.0 is less than a month away.

hence the i200 stuff should be better..

Even just letting us meld it would be an improvement. But the issue is that the best gear shouldn't be just bought. They should be on par with each other so they're both viable paths to getting the best gear.
