File repair tool?

Does anyone know if there is a file repair tool or file repair option somewhere?

No such function exists for the game unless you're using the Steam version, and even then I'm unsure how well it works.
Best you can do is simply redownload the game if you're having issues related to corruption or whatever.

Don't use the Steam verify files, it really doesn't work like you expect.

If used Steam compares the files on your disk, to the version on the Steam server. The problem is the Steam server only has 2.1 (when it was released on Steam) and all updates since then are through the SE launcher itself.

So when Steam goes to verify files it notices they're different so literally deletes and redownloads 2.1 from the Steam servers... and then when you run the game again the launcher sees you have a ton of patches to apply so downloads 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.55, 3.0, 3.1... you get the idea.

This is the same with any Steam game that updates through its own launch though.
