    Dutch ziggo clients (biggest dutch ISP) being blocked!

    Hello SE tech guys,

    Ziggo is the largest internet provider of the Netherlands with over 2 million customers. Right now Ziggo clients cannot connect to Final Fantasy 14 including the game and all it's websites. Customers get error 2146697211.

    Ziggo claims the problem is with Square Enix and that the problem is that you guys are blocking Ziggo. Can you please unblock Ziggo clients! We want to play?

    Temporary solution is to use a VPN. I'm dutch, use Ziggo, I can tell of this issue. Might be slower or limited, but it works.

    Yup, I can't connect to anything FFXIV, website, game, otherwise, through my landline either. I can on mobile though.

    Had to use a VPN connection to access FFXIV lodestone, website (after the splash page of selecting language). For some reason everything is working fine on my phone which has an internet connection provided by KPN from the netherlands. Yet my home internet is provided by Ziggo and I'm completely locked out of FFXIV unless i use a VPN. Please solve this issue fast.

    Paying good money for an internet connection and you buy game time, why would you be locked out?

    Looks like the problem with the ISP is gone now, sadly enough me, and maybe a lot of others were this stupid to uninstall the game for this... :/

    If you have this issue again try a tracert and that'll show where the issue is.

    The problem was that SE/their peer was blocking the entire DNS range owned by the ISP. Solved now. =)
