    Stuck in loading screen after character selection.

    Details:
    Stuck in loading screen after character selection. No error message

    Steps:
    Got disconnected in the ifrit crystal area. Tried to log back on and this problem occurred.

    Date & Time:
    11/21/11 1:30 am Central time.

    Frequency:
    Always

    Platform:
    Windows PC

    PC Manufacturer & Model Number:
    Homebuilt Computer

    Operating System:
    Windows 7

    Graphics Card:
    ATI Radeon HD 5700

    ISP:
    Comcast

    Type of Internet Connection:
    Cable

    Things I have done:
    Used different isp, port forwarding, directly connected to modem, lower settings, deleted character and had it reactivated, closed background processes, set ffxiv priority to high in task manager, EVERYTHING regarded to my connection, re-installed 3 times, drivers updated.

    I don't understand why SE can't log on with my character and try to move to another area. Truly have done nothing on their end. I had much better support with comcast who actually stayed on the phone with me to make sure 100% it was not them that was causing the issue.

    First, we would like to apologize for the problems that you are experiencing while connecting to FINAL FANTASY XIV, and we would like to try to assist you in resolving them. However we will not be able to “log in” for you, as you have requested in this post and others; the SQUARE ENIX Support Center has no direct access to the game itself, nor would we log in if we did, as this would be considered a form of account sharing, which is a violation of the Terms of Service.

    In order to escalate this matter further, we will need some more information from you. Please provide the answers to the following questions, in the format requested, and provide only the information requested.

    1) User Environment
    1. – Operating System? (IE: WinXP, Vista, Win7, 32bit? 64bit?)
    2. - Antivirus program? (IE: Windows Defender, AVG, etc)
    3. – Internet Service Provider?
    2) Exact Error Message
    3) Frequency of Error?
    4) What area were you in when the error occurred?
    5) What were you doing when the error occurred? (What type of actions, movements, etc)
    6) Were you in a party at the time the error occurred? (Please provide number of party members if you were in a party)
    7) Estimate number of characters that were near you at time of error?
    8) Were you able to log back into FFXIV after the error?

    NO ERROR MESSAGES

    Number of people in the area: 20ish

    I was in a party. 8 Members

    I was afk, got disconnected.

    Not being able to log in is my problem......... I can get to character selection but no further.

    No antivirus programs, windows firewall is off.

    Same problem ........ Let's see how far this will go, I bet the update will arrive before we are back to the game.

    Guess what they just had a server maintanice, and i am back and able to log in finaly , so its a FACT that SE sever is the problem, the problem is not from our networks or computers.

    i noticed that they have yet to run maintance on your world, i hope they do soon.

    We performed an emergency maintenance on the Figaro world last night and we are confident that you should now be able to log in.

    Please try logging in whenever you have a chance and let us know if the issue persists.
