I'm on Balmung, and I literally see no one in there ever. I've noticed that the ques for matches are extremely long as well. What happened?

For me, the main issue was that it is too much work and too complex for something that is suppose to be a reprieve from the main game, especially if you wanted to be competitive. And even if you wanted to be competitive, it would amount to nothing because of the amount of win trading going on.

yeah, it was kind of dead on arrival unfortunately. they constantly tried to update it to make it relevant and enjoyable, but i think by then people had already completely given up on the idea

It's terrible & the controls are nonsensical. If I wanted to play on my PC with controller & mouse (how I play the rest of the game) I have to change the settings to keyboard & mouse *every time*. Just not worth it.

I t would have helped if it wasn't so biased in favor of the keyboard and mouse controls and had more interesting playing fields just to start.

They always try to over complicate things imo. Chocobo racing isn't much better.

The day I read the patch notes on this content...the screenshots of the overall design, that went on forever...I said that very night it would not be popular. I don't understand how they cant see that ahead of time Oo boggles the mind tbh.

It should have been far more like wows pet battles, relatively fast, happen anywhere, and toned down to a quick fun game...not a you sunk my battleship depth and slow pace lol

At the same time, they also should have introduced the ability to tame mobs out in the field to obtain mini versions for pet battling.
