Warring Lanner; "Fiend" song where?

The reason why the Sephirot bird doesn't have the phase 2 music is an entirely different beast than you think. SE got hit with copyright accusations for Fiend and thus the bird only has the phase 1 music.

If that were the case, you'd think they'd have pulled the music from, y'know, the actual fight, and the orchestrion roll, too.


Simply put, it's an oversight they never bothered to correct, because now they're in a "damned if they do, damned if they don't" scenario.



For what it's worth, I don't think the songs are anywhere near that similar. Moggle Mog and This Is Halloween, however...

Especially since the mount was released at the same time as the fight... so before any accusation.

On top on changing Sephirot's mount's music I would like

• a generic brown horse like the ones in the Azim Steppe (we can even ride one in a Namazu quest)
• a generic brown bird
• changing Nightmare"s music to Ultima's theme. (And possibly make it drop from Ultima's Bane?) It would be consistent with the Fire-Wind-Earth theme of the mount and how Ultima uses moves from the 3 Primals.

I'd really love to see this change. Or possibly a patch that allows a toggle between the first and second themes on all mounts. (I personally love shiva's first theme over her second one.) But keeping on topic, I really love fiend too and would actually have the music turned on again if this change is made!

I'm asking once again in the hopes that maybe, just maybe we can please have the song changed on the Warring Lanner from "Battle to the Death - Heavensward" to "Fiend" please!
Even Soken said at 2018 Fanfest that if people wanted it, they could change it to play that song. There has been 2 threads so far in support of such change. When you guys have a spare moment, could we please have the song changed? Thank you.

This thread is now my number one priority. It is the ONLY reason why I turn off mount music.
