Interesting Cure Magic Critical Calculation Method

    Hi all,

First of all, I've never seen ppl discuss about this. If it's well-known to public, I apologize for dig out the old news.
It's all started with I want to test how much chance I'll get a critical cure 3 amount between Jade Crook and Astaroth Cane.
    Here is the image...

I cured for 1662 hp while normal amount is around 920-950. (thx for Helayana Galestrum as my test object) She is L29 pug with prime condition.
It really shocked me because I tested on myself and other L50 mage (Sharky Bait) my normal cure 3 is 960, crit is 11xx.
So I used my mule change the job between L14 cul, L21 alcemist, L27 fisher, and L42 conj. My crit for cure 3 were: 16xx, 16xx, 15xx, 13xx.
while normal cure 3 still stay around 9xx.
Sharky Baits test result on my mule is showing the similar trend.

It is kind of interesting the cure magic get resisted more when char getting stronger.
Hopefully there are people already tested which element government the resistance of the cure's crit amount.
We tested with +45 fire resist (naked vs wear earring and circlet) not much different. (raw resistance is 341, so +45 "should" have visible change) thx for Sharky's cure3
Also tested with +14 pie (while base pie is 227). nothing change. so maybe it's just a simple level difference modifier?

Just sharing some test result. Thx for watching ^^:
sorry for my broken engrish. any comment is welcome.

    hm...
Anyone test diffrence between non-materia attached gear & vise versa?

If there's a level modifier, then adding materia to a Weapon (or w/e) such as Magic Potency + or
Healing Magic Potency + would it even make any diffrence to a level 50 target?

I wish they aligned healing magic to an element. Then it'd be just adjusting that element for yourself and your ally you are healing.

It's the same concept as when you hit a level 1 mob that's way below your level for 5k when you're a level 50 but a level 50 mob for 300.

I don't really have too much of an issue with this concept. 900-1k is usually a 3rd or 4th of the HP the person I'm curing has anyway.

This is interesting if the level or perhaps other factors is still affecting healing.

Could this mean that a lower level character who heals a higher level character is going to have reduced potency due to level difference alone?

This almost reminds me of Disgaea, where a Ninja could evade enemy spells, but could could easily end up evading a heal thrown by his own ally.

    Hi, guys
I just did some test. Little surprising outcome...

    Test objects are:
Woolen Cowl (Red) Mnd +8 Healing Magic Potency +12 Magic Eva +12
    Naked with Felt Gaskins (Brown) +1 Mp+24 Vit+4 Int+8 Mind+8 Pie+4

So the mind part is balanced, therefore the healing amount should be comparable.
I did 50 heals, and I recorded down the normal heal amount and crit heal amount.
    Here is the google doc

for naked with pants, the normal healing is 45 times; crit healing is 5 times.
normal healing avg amount is 942.71; Crit healing avg amount is 1149.6.
avg of 50 healing is 963.1

For Woolen Cowl, the normal healing is 48 times; crit healing is only 2 times (I got the last one at 50th)
normal healing avg amount is 965.35; crit healing avg amount is 1177.5.
avg of 50 healing is 974.06

the amount looks reasonable that with +12 healing magic pot, on average you get 22ish more hp per cure for normal cure. However, this crit rate surprised me again. It's way too low for woolen cowl. Hopefully, it's not the "Magic Eva +12" that is against us...

    I'll do more test ^^;

    Hi again,

Just very quickly done one more test set: (mnd+8, magic eva +6 in total)
    Vintage robe: MP+90 Mnd +4 Magic Eva+5
    Claret Coif: Mp+28 Mnd+4 Magic Eva +1

the normal healing is 47 times; crit healing is 3 times.
normal healing avg amount is 946.83; Crit healing avg amount is 1150.
avg of 50 healing is 959.92.

It seems crit slightly more often, but too little test data to be conclusive.

What does these test tell you? Nothing! XD
ya right add some magic eva reduced ~3hp per cure. (too little test number to be conclusive) but as tank pop your skills often, or change your position correctly will save you thousands...

for healers, ya right add some healing magic pot will give you some more hp. But does the 3% increase worth that gils?
I'll leave you to answer that
Please don't sue me [Healer's Hand Materia Union], I didn't suggest anything. ^^
