unable to download patch files [30413] [25008] [20495]

I've looked around the internet at 1000s of different solutions and tried them all save for reformatting my hard drive. At this point I'm 100% certain there are no issues on my end and that this is a SE problem. FFXIV has worked on this computer for years. I just recently reinstalled windows and now every time I try to patch, I get this error after getting to 477mb. Is there any way I can just get a fully patched client from a mirror site or something? I've been trying to find solutions to this for 3 days now and it's driving me insane. At this rate I think I'm gonna have to cancel my sub.

I had the same problem, stopped at 477mb on a certain file while trying to download and re-install.

I was trying to install from a fresh copy of windows 10. Firewall disabled, no anti-virus installed, plugged directly into modem, nothing worked. Spent a few days trying everything, even uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

The only thing that definitely worked is by downloading a VPN called CyberGhost.

The VPN is free, but with that, it's slow and clunky, so what I did is used it to download the one questionable file that gave the errors, closed the FFXIV client, shut down CyberGhost, and proceeded to download the rest of the game & patches without a hitch.

For some reason, this file errors out on a lot of people. I would strongly suggest trying that VPN, downloading that file in question, and unstalling the VPN afterwards.

After you install the VPN, click on the protect my internet connection button and then proceed to download FFXIV. This should solve your problem. Reply back and let us know if this works.

I have tried every single suggestions and bug fixes I found online.
The only thing that worked was the CyberGhost VPN. It took me 5 mins to download. I can confirm it works.

Had same thing on attempting reinstall (I failed to backup raid array that game was on prior to a bios update)... my solutions turned out to be (win 10 Pro 64 os) start with admin rights and allow ffxiv public access on "windows settings - allow an app through Windows Firewall".

Thanks, same issue, Windows 10 64bit, tried turrning everything off and making every exception possible. What I find interesting is the previous 10.5GB downloaded at about 3-4MB/s, yet, with the VPN I am getting upwards of 10MB/s (The limit of my bandwidth. FFXIV is the only one that never reached the potential of my bandwidth when re downloading games.

Have to chime in here. Got a new pc so had to reinstall. I'm getting this error after 525megs downloaded, and says can't download patch files.

This is really making me start to quit the game if I can't even install the client. What am I paying SE for?

There is a workaround for this if you use a pc.

I as well have the issue, last time i was able to play was last Friday. (On PS4)
Pissed off does not even describe how i feel.
I am our FC leader and have missed out on FC events and what not because of this nonsense
