What happened to the Free Company alliance system?

Finally, in patch 2.2, as we mentioned in a separate post last week, we are planning to implement a free company alliance system, which will let you join your free companies together to see both member lists, share a chat channel, and have other useful features.

I'd still really likes this because I have a small own FC but would be happy to work together with some other ones to do some content. The best I can do now is join a LS instead.

We already have this. It's called a linkshell.

I don't know what an alliance system can do in this game that a linkshell doesn't already allow. Perhaps the ability to use another FC's housing features, and that's about it.

it was mostly so Large (and i mean large) FCs can have sister FCs and still be "allied" so if you hit the member limit on the more bloated servers, you could still communicate as a whole through this FC alliance, Linkshells dont work for this particular circumstance, And Linkshells dont have the benefit of some of the UI elements that the FC one does. other then that, no real purpose

I would love to know as well. My static and I are spread between three free companies, two of which members hold positions of influence. And a system such as this would allow for easier communication and teamwork between the free companies, since while we are allies, we don't always see eye-to-eye in terms of free company management and how we wish to use our resources.

This and they had also talked about being able to summon Primals after defeating them, i am guessing this idea was also thrown out
