I have zero motivation to craft the ironworks stuff because it seems so easy....does anyone else feel this way?

I guess if we will get recipes that need it (eventually) I will be glad I have it but....it seems like such a let down and easy and idk I just guess I thought there would be more of a gate. They made the other stuff so the people could catch up so I guess I thought there would be more of a reward. I don't mind working for things but by and large this whole thing has left me more MEH than YAY!

Color me disappointed, I guess I just wanted it to be challengingish.

They'll be releasing patch 3.4 in about 3-3.5 months, which will add 4-star recipes. You'll likely need all this gear melded to reach the minimum requirements of those recipes.

I mostly see the current patch as both a catch up patch, as well as one that allows crafters to prepare for 4-star, to make it possible to craft the new DoW/M gear on the first day of 3.4.

Honestly, I think this may serve as a reboot to crafting. Rowena tokens basically made it impossible for newer crafts to get caught up because you had no way of getting around the weekly cap. I am a bit surprised how easy the better ilvl 195 set is to craft, which is why I think they'll change that in future patches, but 3.3 is simply trying to put everyone on a semi-even playing field.

The requirements to craft it are not too hard, but the items necessary to make it aren't so easy to get unless you just want to buy them from everyone else.

Think about glass fiber. It's not so easy to come by and 1 piece is selling for about 300k on my server.

glass fiber is being rewarded as desynth items and aquapolis is dropping luminous fiber in small stacks fairly regularly. Maybe even more sources
Moogles actually seem to be the worst way to get it atm

I need to raise my desynth level because the items which it comes from have quite a high IL.
I heard it dropped in Aquapolis, but I've gone in at least 10 times now and haven't seen it once. Must be bad luck.

Since there is two source and one being quite easy to farm it's probable the best (also hq possible in desynth)

For the aquapolis, i bet it's in the deepest room that you can have them
So having bad luck on first room prvent you from having them

I randomly joined someone shouting in Churning Mists to try out Aquapolis.
1st room Treasure had a Glass Fiber (NQ).
2nd room Treasure had a Luminous Glass Fiber (NQ). ...which I won the roll for
Didn't get further cause wrong door chosen, but apparently they can drop even in the first rooms.
Is the only Aquapolis I did so far ^^

They're hard right now but it hasn't been a week since the patch has happened. Trust me. Most crafters are going to see the insane profit that alchemy is making and switch specialists. This'll greatly reduce the prices in the next week. Those that don't are going to do the desynthing.

Prices will come down fast. Especially as most hardcore crafters have already made a full set by now. And that's the problem. We shouldn't be able to make a full set the day or two after a patch. Yeah, 4 stars are coming out but that's in 3 to 4 months and you only need one set so that cuts things down to 1/8th the time it used to. =/

THIS....THIS THIS THIS! Just said much better than I could ever have! That is why I have motivation issues, like what is the hurry, I can just fart around this patch and get everything all slow b/c i have MONTHS to get this gear made before it is viable in any real way. MEHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
