Move Feature

I'm still hopeful that the "move" feature for FC Housing will be implemented. I know it's been briefly mentioned, or hinted at, in previous threads and letters. But nothing really concrete... It would be great to upgrade our FC House into a larger one. We've been saving up just incase it happens. "Please look forward to it"

DEVs, can we get more info on this? Please lol? I know there are many FCs that are greatly looking forward to this feature. Detailed info on this would be awesome!

Was it ever even defined? For all we know, it could just entail moving/rotating your house within the plot.

Yes, but not clearly/consistently. It was in one of the more recent live letters from about two months ago? I forget which, but it was still fairly recent(ish).

The only thing I remember seeing is that they wanted to implement it before adding Ishgard housing, without defining it. That and the speculations and assumptions that followed it.

Just as I mentioned on a previous occasion, we'll be adding land in Patch 3.3, and we're aiming to have apartment-style housing in Patch 3.4. The moving feature will come after that.

We don't know how much "after" though so it sounds like it's at least 5 months away, if not more. We also don't know what it'll do it and if it's just going to be automating relinquish/purchase to ensure people don't end up with no house at all.

It'd be impossible to move furniture between different size houses/gardens so likely that'd all get sent to the Housing NPC (losing any breakable stuff because they won't want to give you that back, even binded). Whether it'll move walls/floors and airship progress is also unknown too.

Thanks. I couldn't remember where that quote was exactly. I was just kinda hoping for an inkling..speckle..something..giving us an update on it lol. Like..will we lose our Mog House? Binded Furniture..etc.

Ishgard housing will be same fiasco as it is everytime they add plots. People will buy even more alt character plots to sell.

Unless it's instanced, which would make sense for apartments. No one wanders through apartments like they do houses. I highly doubt they will allow you to customize the outside of your apartment. I can picture multi level insides though that they let you go nuts with.
