My favourite Ishgardian soap opera continues!

In the Pillars in Ishgard, near the Atheneaum Astrologicum was a little scene with a young women who's father has arranged a marriage for her. She clearly dislikes the arrangement (and her fiancé is a bit of a prick), and a young man from the brume asks her whether she is all right.... And now the story continues!

The young woman has a conversation with her fiance, after which he walks away and leaves her to contemplate her fate. A young man walks up to her and asks whether he can be of any assistance...

Yes, she is a Hyur (I think). As people point out below, she almost has to be Elezen considering her height.

She mentions that she is "perched on her father's doorstep", the scene takes place in front of House Dzemael, which makes me wonder who she is really. (or maybe I am just thinking too complicated?).

But there are Hyurs that seem to be part of the upper class. The girl from the WVR quests is also Hyur (as is her mother) yet she is clearly dressed like upper class and you meet her in The Pillars. So while the real nobility of Ishgard seems to be Elezen, it looks like Hyurs can reach some status at least.

Edit: if this were Romeo and Juliet our aspirant Romeo would have been upper class as well. So maybe more Lady and the Tramp?

But im surprise that both the guy she needs to marry and the guy from the brume are elezen.

I had only ever seen the first bit by the Astrologicum, neat to know there's more! Did the further bits appear in 3.1/3.2? I also always figured she was a particularly short-eared Elezen but now I need to double check.

Given her height I'm pretty sure she's an elezen - her ears are just hidden by the hair but if you look closely you can see them poking out. It's possible that she was given a unique face like some other minor NPC's boast.

The further bits appeared later on.
I didn't really check in 3.2. And the earliest I can pinpoint is 3.26.

For some reason I always thought she was a Hyur, but as people point out by height alone she almost has to be an Elezen. She is taller than my own (also very short eared) Elezen as you can see in Episode 1 so.... Elezen I guess x)

Yea thats what I thought so, given Eorzean culture there is no way she chould be an hyur, wouldnt even matter if she was highborn.
