    Nerf "Coming Into Its Own"

The price of the final product is jacked up on Marketboard in my server, and considering you need HQ, you need piles and piles of money just to get the crafting step done if you don't even have a crafter to begin with(which takes MONTHS to properly have since you need multiple skills to even HQ THE DAMN THING). At least the Mastercrafts aren't locked to specialists for the Anima.

The only thing now they need to fix is just make it 10 of each unidentifiable instead of 20...

Let's be honest, it takes millions of gil to begin with just to bring your crafter to that point where you can make those HQ items. Also, you may not know this, but while the recipes might not be locked behind specialists, I'm pretty sure the ingredients are (unless you're saying they nerfed it). This quest was specifically made so that there was a reason beyond glamour for crafters (though that's not entirely true since the relic really is glorified glamour). If you don't have a crafter, then yes, the relic is a money sink, the ARR one was in the exact same position for the Zeta upgrade. If you can't afford it right now, then let it sit for a while and try to work on the 230 step for the relic instead since you can start on the grind for it without actually having the weapon or the quest. Keep checking the market board, and scoop it up when it drops into your price range (stuff like this fluctuates wildly with patches, and some crafters will post stuff a LOT lower than the cheapest item). I'm gonna go ahead and drop some advice for each item, though it might be different for your server.
    1. Adamantite Francesca: There are a lot of specialized blacksmiths on every server, but a lot of them have better avenues for revenue. This price can fluctuate pretty wildly, meaning that you may want to watch the prices of this item over days, and not weeks.
    2. Dispelling Arrow: Surprisingly, due to the housing system, there's a lot of very skilled Carpenters in most servers. This usually means that the prices are more stagnant than most since a lot of players who are able to mass produce them have a good grip on economics and are willing to hound the market board and sweep up any low ball prices on the item so they can relist it. If this item is an outrageously high price on your server, then most likely all of the items are.
    3. Titanium Alloy Mirror: Alchemists unfortunately are the biggest unknown factor among the four, meaning that one server could be overpopulated with them while another one only has a handful who are specialized and making this item. Because of this, very little advice can be given when grabbing this except that you should probably watch it at the same rate that you watch Adamantite Francescas. Hopefully you'll get lucky and catch your four while they're at more reasonable prices.
    4. Kingcake: For the most part, this item is probably gonna be the most expensive. Not only does it require the player to specialize in a crafter that doesn't offer as much as the others, but this one item is like their "creme de la creme" in terms of making money. The small group of players who can actually make this item know that you want it, and know that if they keep their prices high, that you will have no choice but to buy it eventually. There is a very small chance that there will be a price war over it, but you could be waiting for months until this drops into a reasonable price range.

They are no longer locked behind specialisation - not since 3.2. As for needing millions of gil to get a crafter there. No not really. It's 1 star. Not really hard. You need the lvl60 base i150 hq gear and some light - very light and cheap melds. True you do need your cross class skills.

I'm no crafter and my relic items cost me a little over 6mill.
And I don't think the 20 item count should be nerfed it's easy enough to just casually do your roulettes and beast tribes for the items.

People who said it take month to have good Crafter are most of the time people that never tried crafting
Back then right before ixali came out
It took me 2 weeks to up 6 Crafter out of 8 to 50
    All by myself (no PL)

Then it took like 3/4 day thanks to ixali to finish the last 2

And in HW it took less than 10 day to go from 50 to 60 mainly thanks to GC

And like ruskie said, you only need the i150 set to do it
Maybe a little melding but nothing terrible.

    ...

    Anima weapon is a relic
Relic is there to reward people who's dedicate to spend some time for it.

Not sure if trolli. My guess is that you have someone else HQ your stuff while you just do turn-in and just learn a rotation at 50. I've seen it take months to get all your crafters up there.

None of it requires specialization anymore. Adamantite francescas tend to be the most expensive simply because it requires fishing Pterodactyls, which is a lot more time consuming and subject to RNG than gathering the cotton, mistletoe, and sphalerite are. Dispelling arrows seem to sit the lowest, possibly because of the ease of obtaining mats. Mirrors and kingcakes seem to stay pretty steady, though lower than francescas. Either way, these continue to be very profitable for crafters.

@OP - It's too early to nerf it. Atma was rolled out in 2.2 and didn't even get its first drop rate boost till 2.4. Right now it seems like there's just a lot of people that are kicking themselves for not keeping up because the second step is a joke.

still stuck on step 3 xD 61/80 been slacking since the day it was released. I'll get it eventually, the worst part of not being a crafter is I have to hoard gils... Well i'm not in a rush to finish my relic.

    @Ashkendor
They already mention they're going to nerf the Anima Weapon's beginning steps in the next Patch as they mentioned so we'll see.

Anyway I've gotten 45/80 items collected so far, but the HQ Items I haven't gotten yet as they're expensive on the MB which will round about 6 million Gil in total for all of them and I haven't got that much Gil nor am I able to make that much as well. Too busy with Real Life stuff so my time is short. I'm waiting for when Patch 3.3 comes rolling over as they're introduce new Gear for Crafters so hopefully I can grab them and once my Crafts hit Lv60 themselves I can make the HQ Items myself with proper melded gear and food. Still need to collect the mats still to make the items.

I'm just taking my time at the moment.

Have to agree with the OP, it should have only been 10 tokens at most and 1 normal quality item.
