no worries or saltiness intended. I do think that it is interesting that an attack power of 949 is more than enough to clear that fight. (887 STR, 1223 VIT, 755 acc, 926 CRIT, 557 DET - assuming their stats are in the same place as they show up on mine)
That is the problem with most content that's intended for teaching healing in this game, with which I mean healer class quests as well as the new healer training ground. The people you are supposed to look after are never places into a party with you which skips quite a few essential parts of being healer. That is, party wide healing spells and actually being able to monitor the party list for their state, to name a few.So far it's been a little too easy for healer dps on sch. It's just not realistic. I get that this wasnt made with healers in mind, but next time they should give us 3 striking dummies that are being attacked by the striking dummy we fight (think visible charge bars and aoes). The 3 dummies should be added to our party when we enter. :3 that I would like to see.
If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.
One thing tho to note - it is for sure to measure your performance as OT. Any chance SE took it into consideration and dummy reflects the dmg u must be doing with MT in mind doing much less? So its not like all 8 ppl must be on that exact dmg output level, but it can be lower by around 5% (to compensate MT dps drop) to still meet requirements?
As someone mentioned before, it is just a flat gear check. Both healers doing a consistent 1k+ throughout is just unrealistic imo, but if you can do that much in a straight dummy parse, then theoretically you meet the baseline requirements for the instance. Likewise if you can break 1k in your damage stance, then you should be able to MT just fine too. Think of it like a more... dynamic minimum ilvl.
So in essence, SSS is just very very rudimentary parser. Except it doesn't give actual numbers.
If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.
It is really just a rotation and gear check.
It's not really 2.5%. DRK (and NIN or PLD) does not gain a flat 10% dmg increase from Storm's Eye.According to that chart, with a slashing debuff, DRK would exceed the WAR requirement by about 2.5%, with PLD catching up to just about the same amount under WAR.
The better question is are NINs able to clear theirs with DE rotations? If so we could see world prog clears with PLD/DRK.
Edit: Should be more like a 8% increase(?)

yeah, 1200 dps as WAR doesn't seem that unreachable with HQ drac potion, food and fully pentamelded i220 stuff. Pretty impressive thoughJust wanted to post this here rq:

Pretty sure this is A8S dummy.
The healer ones are jokes more than anything else.i'm rather curious about this as well. I thought about this earlier, but I can't test it.
edit: someone posted this on reddit in regards to the health and dps required for each job

DUDE HOW DO THE HEALERS DUMMIES HAVE A HIGHER REQUIREMENT THAN TANKS?!
SSS dps calculator for those graving actual numbers.

Greetings,
I'd like to take a moment to answer some of the questions we have received in regards to Stone, Sky, Sea.
A: Accuracy is not taken into account for these challenges, so all your attacks will land.Q: Do the accuracy requirements for actual content apply to the Stone, Sky, Sea challenges?
A: No.Q: Are food and potions taken into consideration?
A: Stone, Sky, Sea was created as challenge content, and for this reason, the values are set based on tanks using their offensive stance.Q: For tanks, are these dummies set on the basis that we are fighting in our tanking stance or our offensive stance?
A: We'll consider if we can make it easier for players to visually see their completion time.Q: Even after completing the Stone, Sky, Sea challenge, the timer continues to run. Would it be possible to stop the timer, or display the completion time somewhere?
A: Yoshida made the following comments regarding why Stone, Sky, Sea challenges during an interview as to why there are no mechanics:Q: Why aren't there any mechanics for these challenges?Stone, Sky, Sea has been prepared as a training ground for players to test their skill rotations and learn through trial and error.
- If players aren't able to put all their effort into a challenge without any mechanics, they will most likely do worse in the actual content which includes mechanics.
- Once players are able to put all their effort into Stone, Sky, Sea, they will have more confidence to challenge the actual content.
