    The Future of Guildhest and its Potential

    First I have to say I am an old school FFXI Player. I understand the THEME PARK idea that Yoshi P and the Development Group are Pushing. FFXI was first gen gaming No SOLO PLAY and TIME EXTENSIVE FFXIV is THEME PARK and Direct access. In terms of Content it was because of Travel times party building and completion of tasking and types of farming as well as locations that FFXI seemed like a much bigger world. The repetition of FFXIV as of late has been KILLING ME. Some storyline get to EG and then GRIND for STUFF. Hunt was interesting but Swarmed.

    Guildhest is a system that uses already built maps and locations to perform Instanced battles. This being said I am not sure how this system works as to like server stress. Guildhest could have so much more content for instanced battles, Hunt Targets and even some Guildleves could be be instanced in this manner that could create some small party amazing feats or Objective driven missions.

    What are your guys thoughts.

    Guildhest that you need 2-4 gathering jobs and 4-6 Combat jobs. Your combat jobs perform over-watch to your gathering jobs for rare components or gathered supplies.
    Guildhest that uses 2-4 crafting jobs and 4-6 Combat jobs. Your combat jobs perform over-watch while your crafting jobs build structures to fortify maps. This could also be on a larger scale of like a raid group of 24 people 8 crafters 16 combat jobs.
    Guildhest Cargo gaurdians for caravans or other escort missions. You could add in ships and or barges that need protection and add in fisherman.
    Guildhest for Small or Full party to do a Hunt Monster.

    Give me more content that I can set up and go do with people to gather more friends and party members. bring the social parts back the the world of MMO's while Dutyfinder is great give a place to build relationships and maybe even add a place for us to make our own guildhest contracts.

    No thanks. Nothing larger than 8, as organizing 24 people is just an absolute nightmare to get 24 people, each with jobs filled (especially crafters and gatherers), and all available at the same time with nothing else going on. Guildhests were simply trials and challenges that new players should undertake in order to learn more of how to play their role and were given different scenarios based on this. We get something similar to your ideas with Diadem, and there's more ways to improve it. If you want to be social, don't use duty finder, use party finder. There are ways of socialising outside of duty finder, such as the previously mentioned party finder, joining a free company or just walking around joining in on randomness.

    As a reminder Guild-heist is attached to duty-finder already (Organizing 24 people my not be needed if People show interest in doing this)
    Do you think these Ideas would be Better utilized in the Diadem system then in Guild-heist?

    On my server I have Party finder Open A LOT and I never see anything in there ever (PARTY FINDER) is a great system but underutilized on my server;

    I am the leader of my own Free Company, we are very small. We have been around since release of ARR and most of us are Legacy players some joined in after, Others have went there separate ways, They may come back but I don't know when.

    As for walk around and join the RANDOMNESS, I spark up conversations with people regularly I have no problem talking with anyone the social aspect is not the ISSUE teamwork on the other hand is the problem.

    TEAMWORK. I am not sure what MMO's you have played in the past but I come From the notorious first generation of gamer's that you NEEDED a party to do anything. FFXI, Ever Quest, DaoC, Anarchy Online. MMO's today pull the Muiltiplayer out of the game. Don't get me wrong it is nice to be able to go out and have the OPTION to solo. I feel many times that this is a SINGLE PLAYER game with Multiplayer functions.

    All I want is a way to get more Multiplayer action going on and ones that are fun, attract people, and give us something other to do then Run around like idiots spamming fate's for STUFF or chasing down NM's on HUNT. Something that can attract more people I will have too look into Diadem I have not yet tried that battle system yet.

    The luster of the games replay value is losing me at the end of each patch. I could give a shit less about gear. As long as I have sufficient I-LVL STUFF to carry me into the next content and (EXPLORE). I am perfectly fine with checking things out Content a FEW times or I will help OTHERS at the drop of a hat.

    End Games current meta is a GRIND FROM HELL one focused on spend time doing endless hours repeating content you have already been to. No thought is involved in this mindless zombie act of dodge left 1,2,3 maybe a 4 or 5 in there for my SKILL rotation. Very rarely is their a challenge in REGULAR content. Random Groups have issues with Harder content. Party Finder is lacking in people wanting to try stuff.

    REPLAY Value is making it hard to want to stick around. My FC and I stick around out of LOYALTY to the Final Fantasy Title I LOVE Final Fantasy but I have had some serious Issues & set backs with the new MMO methodologies that FFXIV has assigned to its content.

    I have seen FFXI called a S&M Dungeons on here before BUt I have come to miss that old school MMO feel And I did say feel there where some aspects of 11 that made my head spin as well.

    I do my best not to compare the Two and look at this as a new game and new world.

    The theme park is not big enough to keep me entertained as a whole the Roller coasters where great the first few times. I can only go to the arcade so many times before it loses its fun, and I loved the ring toss reward stations and mini games that would give you stuff. Crafting was fun then kinda was Spun out of control and is still wrong in my opinion.

    I am missing the substance and your park is getting boring. I am looking for something to Liven up the party again HELP ME FIND IT PLEASE.

    I think, that Guildhests must be cuted out from the game. They are just useless mini-dungeons without any purpose to exist

    I don't know why they don't create instances inside field zones more often to maximise efficency, reuse assets. They spend a lot of budget on instance-only locations that you can't explore freely. If more of the instances were slices of existing field zones instead of unique locations, then more budget/time could be made available to create a higher number of field zones. Well that's my preference anyway.
